I have not been able to login into CR for a couple weeks now and Chris at CR said there was nothing wrong on their end. He said to enable my cookies?????
Can someone Help? I am really dumb when it comes to this. I also am not able to login into lucky points now either. Have not been able to do CTTM in months and I am thinking this may be the problem.

If you can help, please give me clear instructions.

Thanks, Sue

If you are using IEv6.0 (Internet Explorer version 6.0), go to the toolbar at the top of your screen.

Click on Tools. A drop down menu will appear.

Choose Internet Options. A new window will open. This window has 7 tabs across the top.

Click on Privacy, which is the 3rd from the left.

Click on the Advanced button. A new window will open up.

Check off Overide Automatic Cookie Handling.

Check Accept for First Party Cookie.

Check Block for Third-Party Cookies.

Click Okay.

Close all windows.

I am curious ~ why do you block 3rd party cookies? By doing so, I was not able to use the Hound Hog on CR, it said cookies were not enabled. When I clicked to accept 3rd party cookies, then it accepted it.

3rd party cookies are from a site that you are not even visiting and have not visited. I view them as spyware.

Oh but you can give it like you take it when it comes to those cookies they impose on you...

Did you know that if you go to Tools--> Internet Options--> Delete Cookies you can clear them, and can actually sign up for the same offers in several sites which would otherwise not allow you to? Same goes for logging on to multiple accounts in a single computer.

Clear your cookies first, then log on under another account if there are multiple suscribers using the same machine

WHOOOOPPIEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Finally someone that will think I'm not crazy!!! I have this posted on my site about cookies, I hate telling members that they are not in my reports, and then they get mad at me when I tell them (and in most cases, not credit). Yes, many have legitimately signed up for offers, but without the cookies enabled, they never get credited because merchants never see them, even though they get their information.

This also goes for shopping, many other sites are getting credit for my members who shop through my links, but their tracking cookie is for XX amount of days and are set for the first site's links when clicked, and even though they use CttM's link, the first site gets the sale.

This message needs to be spread across all Interent shopping boards, so more are made aware.

Cookies are a pain in the butt, but a necessary evil. Try to clear them periodically.

Also, when you update browsers, settings get changed, so you'll need to check this also.

TIA

Bonnie

Mad,

I did exactly what you said and I still can not login.

I love CR and Lucky Points and I want to get back to them but I do not know what to do next.

Is there something else I can do? HELP!!!!

What browser are you using?

ALSO, this has errored out for a few members, what is the date your pc is set to??? Somehow some members' pc's date was incorrect and wouldn't allow them to log into sites either.

I am using IE. Not sure on the number but I am sure it is current. I am fairly sure my date is correct since Daylight Savings just happened. I am not on my home computer right now so I can not check things but I have been having problems for several weeks now.

I also have not been able to do CTTM since this summer. The page freezes on me or it takes an hour to load (This is no exaggeration either). I think I have been able to do CTTM once or twice in 6 months.

I am sure it is my computer but I do not know what to do.:( :(

Any other suggestions our there? I really want to keep earning for our next trip.

Sue

Sue,
PM me on this. We have switched hosting companies and have modified the site since your last visit.

Try logging in again and let me know if you still have problems or it is still slow to load. I am reducing the size of files and images as I have time, so this helps in speeding things up.

Bonnie
