Enabler: Paddle Punches

Great, now I'm going to have to buy this. I've always wanted one though. I've seen them used at Michaels crops. They are cool. How did you find it though, I went and browsed the sizzix paddle punch stuff and it didnt' come up for some reason.

I'm going to get the $3 scissor set too, but for DSIL. She's only 10 and asked for a scrapbook for christmas, that's my girl. haha. Of course, I've already got her a scrapbook, stickers and all kinds of girly pages. I think she'll like the scissors, and you can't beat $3. I was thinking of getting the other scissor set for me and the punch set, but I dont' use the one's I have anyway.....

Creative xpress is slow at shipping. I ordered the sidekick on 8/23 and they just shipped it yesterday. But for these great deals, I'm willing to wait!

Well, even though I spend a lot I always go to the clearance & sale pages first. (Except BargainPack because she puts all the new goodies on the front page! That's mean! LOL) So after looking at their regular stuff without any thought I spending money I went to their Dollar Sale page.....which hadn't changed since I bought the Classic alpha last month BTW! (I know because I've checked! LOL)

I've thought about getting them before too - but didn't want to spend the money. DDIL's mother got a set from QVC last year & I was so sorry I missed it. But this deal was soooo much better!

Oh - and I don't know why they were so slow with shipping your Sidekick. I hope that's not the norm! The site does say 1 to 2 weeks for shipping. But last time my alpha was here in less than a week! I wonder if screwing up the order had anything to do with that? LOL I entered the $5 off code not realizing there was a 50% code I could have used. I called & asked them to switch it & they did!! I was so shocked! At that point they could have taken 3 weeks to send & I'd have been happy with them.

And just in case you were serious - they make die cuts anywhere on your page instead of just along the edges.

Deb, I so wasn't kidding, but it sounds cool. I didn't even read the description, I just got it because it seemed exciting! I did that with the perfect edge thingy from QVC, haven't used it, but I bet it's cool!

You'll still need the pad. It's $10 on their site. I figured I'd try to wait for the next 40% coupon - when I'm actually going to Mikes. In the meantime I might try using an old mouse pad.

They also have something that pokes the piece out - but it looks to me like a chop stick would work just as well. Try looking for the "starter kit" under Sizzix-Paddle Punches either there or over at Sizzix.com

Hey Dizney-Cruiser....Do you mean the old type mouse pad that is soft foam & covered in fabric? Or the type that is firmer & covered in plastic?

It was the Big Cuts. I had actually looked at these and considered ordering them- I think they were on sale for $5.

So, if you haven't ordered yet, I'd be interested to see if anyone else gets the free gift and if it is the same thing I got.

The same thing happened to me. At first it wasn't there, but after I browsed a bit it was! i don't know how it got there. But it said out of stock, so i wondered if I'll get it. I don't even know what it is!

Do you guys think that the classic alphabet will go back on sale? I'm such a cheapskate that I dont' think I can ever pay full price, or much higher, knowing I could have gotten it for $25 So I want to hold out to see if it goes on sale again. I may just be holdling on forever though

I didn't even think of that. I assumed the exact opposite of you though-I just assumed I was getting the whole bucket full. You're probably right though-it's probably one pair of scissors.

Well it wouldn't show up in the cart because those are things you've "ordered". I noticed that it showed up when I actually started the check-out process....or at least when it got to the point that I scrolled down - maybe when I entered the code??
