or Lowes - I brought one to decorate and use to save money for our next WDW trip. But, how can I get a coin slot cut in the can's top?

Maybe a sharp screwdriver and a hammer? BE CAREFUL THOUGH!!!

Yup they are available in the paint isle...To get a coin slot I'd use some sort of can opener and peel back the edges then flatten them on the inside so you don't cut yourself...

Do you have a drill? Simply drill a large hole then use a dremel to file down the sharp edges. If the edges are still sharp maybe wrap some fabric or ribbon around the lid and down through the hole.
