This is probably photo-shopped, but would it hurt her to smile?

"probably"??? They even cut off the lower part of the necklace---that is my level of photoshop skill LOL

as for smiling----she doesn't have a big toothy grin, more of a small, closed mouth smile, but she does smile in a decent number of photos, and just seems to have more naturally serious expressions overall (as someone who grew up constantly hearing "don't look so serious" and "smile" to my great irritation, and with a daughter and father who hear the same, I can totally relate). I think she is strikingly lovely and don't fault her for a lack of a big smile in most photos at all.

The model doesn't usually get to decide whether or not to smile; in publicity stills you do whatever the photographer tells you to do.

Something else to note: Smiling in every photo is a very American thing; people from many other cultures tend to prefer NOT to smile in posed photos. (I can remember getting caught in the middle of this every time I had a school photo taken; my immigrant parents insisted that I NOT smile in the photo, whereas the photographer always tried to insist that I did. I was more afraid of my Mom than the photographer, LOL.)

Hmm, yeah since it's just some random photo of her face someone took from the internet and not really Emma Watson 'in character' as Belle I wouldn't be too concerned about her lack of a smile.
