EMM questions

We did EMM once in 2014 and really screwed it up! I had no idea what was open and ended up getting in line for tinker bell not even knowing what it was and just waiting. We rode nothing!
I’m trying to be more prepared this time.
We are getting maxpass and I understand you can book right away but the return time won’t be until the park opens for everyone. Is that correct?
Is it really busy during EMM? Long waits? I want to ride all the fantasyland rides and I’m making my family ride them just once. They want to ride space mountain and matterhorn. Do the lines get really long? Will we have time to ride all the rides that are open in that hour? Should we book a FastPass first for space mountain and skip it during EMM? Any expert tips welcome!! Thank you!!

There are two types of early entry. On Disneys Entertainment calender they are Magic Morning ( MM ) and Extra Magic Hour ( EMH ).... ..MM is for DL only and is Tue, Thur, Sat ..You get One MM when you buy a multi day ticket ( 3 or more days and not given if admission is purchased at a ticket booth at the Park )... EMH is given to guests staying at one of the three resort hotels. , doesnt matter what kind of admission they have. .. EMH is Sun, Mon, Wed. and Friday for DCA ...and Tue, Thur, Sat . for DL., ( same days as MM )

I would definitely go to Fantasyland an do the rides there. We generally get in line for Peter Pan first. Then we move onto Pinocchio and Snow White, then Mr Toads, then Alice, then Mad Tea Party finally we hit Matterhorn. Usually by this time its almost opening time, we head over to Space Mountain and Star Tours.

Oops, sorry we have Magic morning in Disneyland. We are staying off site but bought a 4 day park hopper. Thank you for the order of rides. I’ve been trying to figure that out. I know I’m over thinking everything but our trip kind of stunk last time because I had no idea what I was doing and so many rides and entertainment was closed for refurbishment. I feel we didn’t get to do much.
