Help! I need to decide quickly. I just signed up for Emm for HS. Read some old reviews about long lines for SDD even on EMM. Is it worth it or should I just keep Fast passes instead even though they are terrible times?

You can read a lot of new/recent reviews here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/dhs-toy-story-land-early-morning-magic-emm-faq-discussion.3701980/#post-59644646

No event will ever make everyone happy and it’s not the right fit for some touring styles and/or expectations, but with the exception of a few times where SDD has been down first thing during EMM, event reviews tend to be relatively positive.

Speaking from personal experience having done it in early Oct and then again on 12/31, we had shorter SDD waits on SDD 12/31 than in October. But worth reading up on the reviews and details to see if the event has the potential to deliver good value for your expectations.

When are you going, that will help me with my answer? If you are going during spring break or a busy season then yes to EMM.

My answer for you:
If you wanna do SDD a handful of times, and TSMM handful of times, and then get on RNR's first run of the day, along with possibly another run on RNR or TOT before eating a really nice breakfast*?
Then, the answer is yes.

*Chances are, you'll get some really nice photos, and a possible spin on Star Tours before breakfast as well. Another plus is that you can essentially cross TSL, and at least one spin on RNR or TOT off your list for the day. That may make your needed fastpass choices after 9am look a LOT better?

My DH and I did this October 29 for the first time. we both thought it was worth it because we have never experienced TSL before.

It was so nice to have TSL with virtually no crowds. We rode SDD 4x and TSMM 4xs and Aliens 1x

Granted its only 75 minutes but it was a nice relaxing experience.
We're going to HS on a DAH nite. Can't wait to experience this in 2 month's:love:

Hope this helps

Oh my gosh-yes! We did it thanksgiving week & are doing it again over spring break. We don’t do dessert parties & wouldn’t do the early morning at MK, but this one saved us frustration & lots of wasted time spent in long lines. Needless to say, we LOVED it! And the breakfast was a worthwhile bonus!
