Extra Magic Hours

More time, more magic - for the big 15th birthday bash!

Imagine you had even more time to enjoy the Disney magic, with smaller crowds and all your favourite attractions! In 2007, the resort's 15th Anniversary year, the dream becomes real!

Starting April 2007 and throughout the 15th Anniversary year, guests staying at one of the seven Disney Hotels, at Hotel L'Élysée Val d'Europe or with an Annual Passport Dream can enjoy even more time in Disneyland Park!

On certain days of the week, specific attractions in Disneyland Park will be available to you 2 hours before regular park opening or for 2 extra hours after park closing! With Extra Magic Hours, time is always on your side!

Who's Invited?

Extra Magic Hours are available for anyone staying at any of the following seven Disney Hotels (or the resort-owned Hotel L'Élysée in Val d'Europe) on the dates when the service is available:

* Disneyland Hotel
* Disney's Hotel New York
* Disney's Newport Bay Club
* Disney's Sequoia Lodge
* Disney's Hotel Cheynne
* Disney's Hotel Santa Fe
* Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch
* Hotel L'Élysée Val d'Europe

Annual Passport Dream holders also have access to Extra Magic Hours.

More details about using Extra Magic Hours will be added once the system has launched in April

How does it work?

If you're "invited" to Extra Magic Hours, it's so simple and easy to attend! You just need your Disney Hotel EasyPass (given to you upon check-in at your hotel) or Annual Passport Dream.

Morning Extra Magic Hours

Just show up at the gates of Disneyland Park and follow the signs for "Disney Hotel guests" and "Extra Magic Hours", letting you bypass the regular visitors around Fantasia Gardens. At the entrance to the park use your regular park ticket to enter, and when you arrive at the entrance to your chosen land, show your Disney Hotel EasyPass or Annual Passport Dream to gain entry. Non-Extra Magic Hours guests are free to explore Main Street USA until regular park opening.

Evening Extra Magic Hours

From 5pm onwards, special wristbands are handed out under Main Street Station at the entrance to Disneyland Park. Go here with your Disney Hotel EasyPass or Annual Passport Dream and tell the Cast Member how many people are in your group. You'll receive the correct number of flourescent wristbands and can then show these to Cast Members at attraction entrances to gain entry throughout the extra hours. Non-Extra Magic Hours guests will be able to stay in the park during these hours, but thanks to this system will not be able to ride the attractions or (in some cases) shop in the boutiques, helping the maintain the "exclusive" invite as a thank you only for Disney's own hotel guests and passholders!

If you appear to have missed the hand-out of wristbands, just go to City Hall at any time through the evening.

When you arrive at your Disney Hotel, be sure to pick up the latest Extra Magic Hours guide leaflet (updated around every two weeks) for a full listing of the attractions and restaurants available during both morning and evening hours.

Thanks to www.dlrpmagic.com for the info. Ah, and now in January (weekends) and February, the Extra Magic Hours are mornings from 8 to 10 AM.

Thats an excellent lot of information there, i am going to have a good read.:thumbsup2

Joanne, the park will open at 8am-10am for guests able to take advantage of the EMH.:goodvibes

Just make sure you have your Hotel ID also not just your park tickets, otherwise you'll not get through security :)

In the summer EMH was at the right hand side.

Although EMH does not work for Walt Disney Studios you can get a start on the other guests by going into Disneyland Park first and then heading over to Studios; via link between Hotel and Studios. You'll then be at the front gate while others are still queuing at bag check :)

Whereabouts is this link??

I think Cyrano means that once you are through bag-check, which everyone has to go through when going into DLRP, you don't have to do it again to get from the main Park to the Studios - you just walk out of the main Park and up to your right is the entrance to the Studios.

guys, thanks so much with your answers!!, as ever, this site is a just soooo helpful when you are doing anything disney!!

thanks for all that info guys i couldnt see for looking :lmao:
only 6 weeks now and im getting excited.
have already preordered the new brits guide to dlp, it is due out last week of feb and i loved the last one so much it is essential to my DLP holls :) excited much!

By the way seems to being discussed by much of the Disney DLP community that EMH will now be restricted to mornings only; sorry Marcus.

Seems that from an operational point of view less staff are required to control those on-site guests and Dream AP holders who arrive early in the morning. Compared to trying to contol all the guests in the evening many who do not understand why some are able to enjoy rides as part of EMH :)

got back at midnight last night. we were given a special ticket to show as well as our park tickets to enable us to make use of the EMH. it was so handy as we were in the parks at 8am and were able to get on everything before we had our good morning fantasy land breakfast at 9.15.
