EMH - why does Disney make them difficult?

I think the problem is that we are comparing apples to oranges here. E-nights had to be paid for, EMH is not. If you have something that is going to cost you, then perhaps you might think twice about it. But, if it's free, then why not go? If you had to pay for it, then you might say, the heck with that, I'll just head to MGM for the evening.

For those of us who very fondly remember the old E-nights, it's sometimes hard to go to evening EMHs and enjoy them. It is a completely different type experience. But, I still go to the occasional EMHs...especially during the fall/winter months. In the summer, like I said before, if we do an EMH evening, it's to avoid that nasty humidity during the day.
It's all about expectations. And knowledge before you get there!!

I always thought the E ticket nights were a bit of a rip off.

It just seemed to me like... well, if they're keeping the park open anyway, WHY charge people extra money for the privelege of going when they've already paid admission?

JMO of course.

I think EMH is better... but with the capacity of Disney resorts (and i dare say most people stay on property these days) they're bound to be busy!

I agree with you.. gone are the days that the parks use to stay open late for anyone that paid to get in.. not just for those that paid extra or now those that are staying onsite... they have many rooms & therefore, the parks are bound to be crowded anyway you look at it....
If they went back to leaving them open late all the time, those that are staying for a few days would not feel compelled to have to go that particular night..
