EMH Strategy

Back in the day, there was only morning EMH. My strategy was to go to the park that had EMH the day before, and try to avoid crowds. I called it "drafting" off of the EMH. (See NASCAR.com if you are unfamiliar with that term.) Now we have AM and PM EMH. Would my strategy still be valid, and which would you draft off of, AM or PM?

The strategy should still hold true and it should work for both the morning and evening sessions. I believe each park has one morning and one evening session so there is only one day that doubles up on EMH. Outside of that, you should be able to "draft" a single park each day.

That's a great idea. We were planning on picking a non-EMH park sort of at random, but this strategy might work well. Back to the plan!

Will this "drafting" practice work during the week of Christmas, when crowds are at their peak? Or should my family try to take in the EMHs in the mornings (we're early birds if it means getting on rides!) in order to "beat the crowds"?

If you enjoy going early then by all means the morning EMH is for you. You can get much accomplished in a little time. One technique that we have used is to hit the morning EMH, stay until around noon then hit the park that will have the next days EMH.

Not sure if this will work during Christmas but it has worked nicely during the summer months when there are large crowds.

This year we are going to go to am emh parks like we always do and then head to another park. when there are no am emh parks, we are going to go to the park that had pm emh the night before. (eg. mk on thurs am, and ak on wed am).
