T-minus 19 days and counting till we arrive at the Mouse House. Got the yellow ID tags, "Happiest Place On Earth" luggage tags, PS arrangements made,... the excitement is building. :bounce: Now, if I could just figure out the EMH strategy that I should follow. :confused3

Okay DISers,... if a Park has EMH in the morning, I should avoid that Park that day,... right? If a Park has EMH for the evening,... go to that Park in the morning and avoid it at night,... right? :rolleyes1 What Parks are most busy on weekends? I want to maximize the fun factor and lessen the stress factor. HELP!!!!!

POFQ here we come! :earsboy:

I am always torn about morning EMH. I have to say that generally I avoid the EMH in the mornings because you have all of the resort guests going to that park for the whole day. I usually pick another park to go to instead.

When we went at Christmas, the resorts were almost full so this was a good strategy. The EMH parks were always the busiest on that day.

I think at other times of the year the morning EMH might not be a bad idea.

The worst thing you could do would be to go to the EMH park, late. Some folks seem to do this and to me it makes no sense. If you want to go to the designated park on that day...use the EMH.

I don't have much expereince with the evening EMH so I can't comment if it effect traffic patterns the same way.

Just my $.02

Last week - we did EMH on Tuesday for MGM and the whole place was EMPTY until about 11 a.m.

We did regular entry right at 9 a.m. at Epcot on Wednesday and other than Soarin' the rest of the place was empty until about 11 a.m.

(Monday at MK was nuts, but not nearly as nuts a Memorial Day Monday 2004 at MK)

while I'm at it - Typhoon Lagoon was BUSY on Thursday. Incidentally, we did go to Epcot for EMH evening and while Alfredo's was really busy, we weren't focused on rides, so it did not seem too bad. Then, during Illuminations - we did Test Trak and Soarin' with little to no wait.

Animal Kingdom - we got there right at 9 a.m. on Friday and rode the Safari twice w/ no wait. Then, a little later, oh say about 11 a.m. we went to Kali and rode with nearly no wait, but by time we got off, it was pretty busy. :confused3 Rode Dinosaur twice with little wait, etc.

Saturday at MK - arrived about 10:30? It seemed PACKED - especially looking down Main Street - but the wait for Splash was 10 minutes and Big THunder was 20 minutes. We did wait 30 min for Space Mtn and fast-passed Buzz at 2:30 to ride at 3:15. My guess is the crowds were in Fantasyland, but I wasn't going there for sure!! ;)

Okay, so that's probably way more than you wanted to know. :teeth:

IMHO avoid EMH's except for possibly AK. When we were there in May, evening EMH at AK was the only one that wasn't packed. We found morning EMH at both MK and Epcot went well, but we them park hopped out of the by noon. My advise is to go to the parks that had evening EMH the night before, reports have been that this is a good plan. Have a great trip. :cool1:

We have never had a problem with morning EMH. We were there last Thanksgiving and did EMH at MK. We rode everything in fantasyland and philharmagic in about 45-1hr. I have noticed that on those days, the parks start to fill up about 11 or so. That is when we head to another park.

I am wondering about the evening EMH. Is it crowded?? Should we avoid it??

I've read mixed reports about evening EMHs, although a lot of people say that if you're willing to wait out the first hour of it then the parks clear.. Anyone have this experience? Any more comments on evening EMH?
