EMH?...someone explain to me how it works

ok i know this is going to sounds, stupid but i just dont understand how the extra magic hours work. i looked on the schedule and it says like EMH Animal Kingdom, 9-8 in orange. the orange is supposed to mean morning hours...so how does this work? havent been to DW in many years and my fiance and i are getting ready to go dec 30-jan6 so i need to be prepared for all this stuff. thanks

There are 2 types of EMH morning and evening- If its morning EMH then the park opens one hour earlier than listed time for WDW resort guests. And Evening the park stays open 3 hours after normal closing time for WDW resort guests. So AK on the day you're talking about would open at 8am for resort guests
