EMH Questions

First of all, please accept my apologies if this has been dealt with before, but I have searched the site and can't find the answer to my (possibly stupid) questions. As you can see, this is my first post and this will be our first visit to WDW since 1986, so I am as near to a WDW-virgin as you could get!

So here goes....

We will be staying in a villa (ie, not in a WDW resort hotel). If a park is advertised as being open from 09:00 to 23:00 with an EMH in the morning, does this mean that we won't be able to enter the park until 10:00, or is the EMH from 08:00 to 09:00?

Secondly, if there is an EMH at the end of the day, does that mean that we will be kicked out of the park, or does it just mean that we won't be able to go on any rides during the EMH?

All EMH are outisde oif the published times so if a park opens at 9:00 and has an EMH morning then it will be open for resort guests by 8am. I would suggest avoiding these parks on that day unless you have no choice they will be more crowded usually.

In the evening I know that you can't do anything rides and shows but I don't know if they will allow you to shop or eat or ask you to leave since I haven't been in that situation. None of the evening shows go on during the evening EMH it is mainly rides and limited food service. My guess is they may ask to see your wristband for food but I don't know.

As far as eating is concerned, I know that when I ate at Pizzafari, just minutes before EMH, the CM told me he would have to ask me to leave at regular closing unless I went and got a wristband first. Fortunately, a senior CM told me I could stay.
