EMH question

If you are a guest at a Disney resort, you can stay at a park up to 3 hours past its closing. My question is this: if I am visiting, say, Epcot, and MK is open late that night, how do I get park access to MK?? Will we need wristbands?? Must I go to MK before a certain time to gain entrance into MK (or, whatever park that I am choosing to take advantage of EMH)?? Can anyone clear this up for me? We will be arriving in less than 3 weeks, and I want to adjust my itinerary and PS's.....THANKS!

If you are at Epcot that day, you simply go over to MK, show your resort ID, and get a wristband. Easy-peasy.
