I know we CANNOT use EMH for rides and shows if not staying onsite. So with that said my question is when going to MK on an EMH morning they do the opening show prior to the EMH and we are wanting to see the show,so then we would have to wait another hour to be able to actually enter the park? Or would we be able to enter to shop and walk around like the evening EMH allows you to stay to shop, eat, walk around.

I have read that On-site Guests during EMH used their ticket and room key to ride the attractions. Therefore, I would believe you could be able to shop and walk around like the evening EMH allows.

We recently went on an EMH morning as off-site guests. We were not even allowed to leave the TTC. Huge crowds were gathered just after the ticket windows and we were not even allowed to get in line for the boat or monorail until 8:45 (9am regular opening). I'm not sure if it's like that every EMH morning or not though.

Well if we can't even watch the opening show there is no reason to be there that early then.Saddens me that MK has EMH every morning on the week we are there so the grandchildren will not get to see the opening.I would stay and wait an hour to get into the park after the show but no way am I willing to wait an hour and a half at the TTC with a 3 and 1 year old on their 1st trip to the MK.

Intersting. I didn't know they did that.

You could always valet park at CR and walk over to MK. It would only cost you a few extra bucks, and you wouldn't have to mess with transportation to the TTC later in the night. EMH every morning doesn't sound right. Where did you see that? November's calendar hasn't even been released yet. :confused3

Only during nighttime EMHs. For the morning ones you are not even allowed into the park unless you are staying at a Disney resort.

We are arriving this Saturday sorry my ticker is wrong I tried to change it but for some crazy reason it won't update and I got tired of trying;) So yes for the week of 4/13-4/19 2014 MK has EMH every morning

Ohh gotcha. That makes sense! Honestly, I would really pay the money to park at CR, at least for one day. It will be much easier, especially with little ones. Good luck! It will be a madhouse. Expect that there could be park capacity closures, especially toward the weekend of Easter.

So do you think we would be okay getting to the parking lot at around 7:30 for a regular opening of 8am or should we be there earlier than that?

How do you go about doing the valet parking at CR and how much is it? Don't care about the cost was just wondering how it all works and was curious what it does cost

It's $20 (plus tip) per day. Here is a link with available resorts, and you just follow the signs as you near the resort. The walk from CR takes very little time. 5-10 minutes depending on your pace. There is a marked path.

WOOOOWWWWW i would never do that. You are some type of person haha

Why not? It's perfectly permissible. As long as you have paid to valet park, you can go anywhere you want. Not against the rules whatsoever.

Anyway....if the OP does valet at the CR, and then walks over to the MK...you won't be allowed through the turnstiles. You will most likely be able to get through the bag check area. You will be able to see the opening show to some extent but not all of it.

Huh? Was this directed at me? :confused3 It costs $17 to park in the TTC lot, and then you have to take either the monorail or the ferry to get to MK. Valet parking at any of the deluxe resorts is a legal and encouraged practice according to Disney. What's the issue? And yes, I am "some kind of person". I am the kind that is helpful and informative. :confused3

I would have a back up plan, in case they don't let you park at CR. I was there last week of August last year - crowd level of 3 or 4 daily - and they wouldn't let anyone pay to valet park there on at least 2 weekday mornings.

We are going to try to valet park on at least our first day at MK since it is allowed and not breaking any rules but if we cannot valet at CR we will just go and park in the MK parking lot.

And a BIG:thanks: for all the great information.I had no idea that they even had valet parking for non resort guests.

What about getting an early rrservation at crystal palace or CRT? You would be let in then.

That is a good idea, however OP is going during Easter Week. Early morning CP reservations are not going to be available.

OP, honestly your grandkids are very little. It will be very crowded and exposing them to extra crowds just to see the show will negate any joy they would get by watching it.

I agree with Valet at CR. It is an easy walk over to the park. I suggest you get in and get out as quickly as possible. Also take a look at EasyWDW.com for least crowded park. It may help a little. Definitely DO NOT GO ON MONDAY.

Have a fun time with your grandkids.
