EMH procedures at DHS

I haven't driven to a park for EMH and I haven't been to a park since all the new security screenings and I have never done morning EMH for DHS.

Please advise:

What's the timing and procedures for getting to DHS on EMH morning?

- What time should we plan on pulling into the parking lot?
- Do they do security screenings before 8:00 AM? So do you get screened and then wait to get through the ticket gate or is all that at once?
- Do you get let into the park early and just not allowed to go past a certain point?

Just trying to figure out when we should be leaving our room and when the "latest" we should be getting to the front gates to help smooth out a very early morning .

b. Scan of a guest ticket or MagicBand in a party to see if that party is staying at an on-site WDW resort.
c. Scan of each guest's ticket or MB for park entry.
2. 25-30 min. before AM EMH opening tie.

5. Nope.
6. Maybe. Generally, for AM EMH, guests are admitted close to "opening time" and are allowed to walk to attractions.

Another question regarding Rider Swap and EMH.
Do they do Rider Swap during EMH since there really isn't any Fast Passes during that hour?

Can my son and I go on Star Tours during EMH and get my wife (with infant) a Rider Swap pass to just use later in the day or do they just not hand them out since lines are hopefully short anyway?

I don't know.
Probably.
They hand out physical swap for the Rider Swap, so the lack of the use of FP for AM EMH wouldn't matter, AFAIK.

All the reason I am asking is I am trying to be very efficient with my DHS morning. Basically I hope to use the EMH to hit Star Tours, TSMM and maybe another ride or two during the hour and use the Rider Swap to get my wife a chance to ride them later without a Fast Pass. Then spend the rest of the morning doing things like characters meets, Launch Bay and watching shows.

We are saving our Fast passes for an afternoon hop to MK. (Hopefully using the Express bus service to make it a quick hop (critical with a 4 year old and 5 month old!)

Anyone have any suggestions of what to hit (besides the rides) during the EMH? Are the character M&Gs open during that time? If so . .which ones?
