can anyone tell me if Mickey's Philharmagic is open on EMH? i would hope it is since the rest of Fantasyland is.....
thanks! :teeth:

It is but I would put it toward the end of your EMH touring. It will eat too much time. Rides like Pooh and Peter Pan will build up long lines by the end of EMH. Seeing Philharmagic early on in your EMH morning will eat up a good 20 precious minutes. Philharmagic holds a lot of people. You'll be able to get into it w/o a long wait even toward the end of the EMHour. If you're really worried about the line getting long, grab a fastpass (the time won't be until after the rest of the park opens) for it and then do the rest of fantasyland (and maybe even Buzz or Haunted Mansion) before you're fastpass time. Then do Philharmagic and maybe a couple other things (Carousel, Carousel of Progress, tea cups) and position yourself at the rope drop for Toontown (an hour after the park opens). Then you'll be in great shape to get on Goofy's Barnstormer (maybe even twice), walk through Mickey/Minnie's house, and grab a few autographs before Toontown gets packed with people.

Just my opinion and maybe others will disagree or have another suggestion for you.

thanks Danny and Jess....
i knew it was a FP attraction, but didn't know if it was EMH. my plan is to get through Fantasyland and then Indy Speedway (ds is 5 and a car freak!!)...then we'll see....then maybe finish buzz and space mtn then maybe do MPhilharmagic toward the end of EMH. Then to TTF....my goal is: do fantasyland and be at TTF for rope drop....that gives us 2 hours to do fantasyland and indy (and whatever else we can do in Fantasy/Tomorrowlands.....)
i appreciate the help....thanks so much!!

Gupsmom is absolutely correct, We enter at opening and go straight to Fantasyland (don't stop for the characters on Main Street they will be there later) we ride Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, (2 times) if no line we jump on Mad Tea Cups then back to Peter Pan's Flight, Philharmagic (also get a fastpass everyone always wants to see this again) Cinderella's Carrousel, then Snow White's Adventures and Haunted Mansion as "it's a small world" is closed.

Have a great trip.

my husband was sooooo "upset" IASM is closed when we're there :cool1:...i am honestly :( i was really  TSIsland will be closed when we're there too..... why do they have to rehab the popular stuff during the busy times :confused3

Sounds like a good plan. May I interject that we have found Indy Speedway to be slow, even at EMH. During slow season (mid-week, mid-Sept) we went to Indy first thing and were first to arrive. We were off of the ride 20 mins. later. They were slow getting cars out and it is a slow loading process. You may keep that in mind.

thanks junebugvw--
i have read that indy does get extremely backed up and is very slow...that is why it will be our first stop AFTER the fantasyland popular rides (ds is 5 1/2). the goal is to be at TTF at rope drop :wizard:....hopefully we can do it....if not, something will work out..... (always an alternate plan

I agree with Gupsmom in keeping PhilharMagic later. In fact, I wouldn't generally recommend it during the first two hours the park is open. The theater's capacity and other factors mean you can often walk in with little or no wait in the mid to late afternoon. And I don't think FASTPASS is warranted here, unless you're out of FASTPASS attractions to experience.

Hope this helps!

we aren't planning the Philharmagic till later....i know it holds like 450 people for one show.....i don't have a "rush" to see that till maybe the afternoon when it starts getting hot!! :umbrella:

The show is a good attraction to do when you are tired and need a break from standing in the heat. We did it fastpass and it worked out very well.

We fast passed Peter Pan and went to Philamagic while we waited...perfect! The line was inside, in the air conditioning, the show was great and we got out in time for our fast pass ride on Peter Pan (which we almost walked on).

Is EMH exactly one hour before park opening? Back a few years they'd sometimes start 1/2 hour or so before that.

EMH is just that....Hour! :Pinkbounc ........as far as i know anyway
