EMH on May 5

I was looking at the park hours on this site and noticed that on Friday, May 5 EPCOT (both Future World and World Showcase) is scheduled to close at 7pm. It is also EMH that night at EPCOT.

All other Friday nights in May, World Showcase is scheduled to close at 9pm. So, when do you think the park will close for EMH guests? 10pm or midnight on May 5?

That is going to be the deciding factor whether we stay onsite or not as it is our only Disney park day for that trip.

Most likely 10PM, but that's obviously not a definite. It could have been a typo, plus Disney changes their times and EMH schedule constantly, so it may be different next week. But they don't usually have EMH Evenings for more than 3 hours. I've seen it happen, but it's not usual.

Disney World Website Shows Future World Hours As 9-7 And World Showcase As 11-9 All Week And Illuminations At 9 Every Night. This Site <DIS> Shows Future World 9-7 All Week, But Shows World Showcase As 11-7 On 5/1 5/3 And 5/5 With No Illuminations On 5-5. Hope Someone Looks Into This.

I panicked when I saw this thread because May 5 is our tenth anniversary and I already have an Illuminations cruise booked.

I checked two other planning websites, the "official" Disney site and called CRO. They all confirmed that the schedule for May 5 will be the normal 9-7 for Future World, 11-9 for World Showcase and Illumniations at 9. They also confirmed that there is an EMH that night. I'm not sure how that impacts the 7 p.m. closing of Future World, but that doesn't matter to me. We'll be at dinner until time to go for the cruise.

It must just be a typo on the park hour page here - maybe a test to see if we are paying attention.

If anyone finds out there really is a change that impacts Illuminations or EMH on May 5, please post so I can panic for real!

I do know that Grad Night is May 5 and MK closes at 7p.m. but I do not know if this would impact Illuminations.

That is one of the grad night weekends. I would expect that's why the park is closing early.
