EMH Mornings

In December, we were staying at Old Key West and MK opened at 8am for everyone and EMH for resort guests...so we arrived about 7:25 and they let us in without checking to see if we were staying on property. No one asked to see our room key. What is the procedure for EMH mornings? What has everyone else's experience been? TIA

It goes by your room key that you put in the machine.

If your ticket is on your room key, that's one way the CM's know you are staying on property. Several times when we have been at morning EMH's, CM's ask to see your room keys while you are standing in line. I have seen people turned away from EMH for not having room keys.

None of us had room keys to put in the machine because we have AP's but we had our room keys on us because I thought they would ask to see them and no one ever did.

With our AP s we were only asked to see the room keys occasionally on morning EMH.

Thanks! I'm thinking that it can be random depending on the CM.

Maybe they just let resort buses and the resort monorail deliver peeps.

Whenever my family and I went to Epcot or Hollywood Studios for Morning Extra Magic Hour we have always been asked to show our KTTW cards. As for the Magic Kingdom maybe they don't ask because they can keep the offsite guests at the TTC during that time.

Good point...I was kind of thinking that too. But what time do they let non-resort guests get to the turnstiles if MK opens at 8am? And do they do 2 opening shows at MK...1 for EMH and 1 for regular opening?

I am guessing they let them into the parks right at 9:00 AM and there is no 2nd opening show for them.

Also one time while going to the Magic Kingdom during Morning Extra Magic Hour while my family and I were at the TTC since we were taking the Resort Monorail from the Contemporary, there were a lot of guests lined for the Express Monorail. However it was just parked there and with no one standing at the entrance to it, so the Cast Members do hold them there during that time.

If the Park Opens at 8am the EMH is 7am .
If it opens at 9am the EMH is 8am

Your Talking about the Opening act right? if so they Only do that Once on EMH days Just Before the EMH

We had mixed experiences. We also have AP's so our room keys weren't connected to our park passes.

Sometimes the CM's asked to see the KTTW card when we arrived for AM EHM, sometimes they didn't.

I even asked once "don't you need to see my room card" and was told no.

So hopefully this doesn't mean they aren't enforcing what is supposed to be a perk of staying on site.
