I'll be staying at Pop soon & was wondering how the CMs have been checking for resort guests during EMHs. In the past, you just showed your KTTW card but are they standing around scanning the bands now or just looking for them?

Someone on another thread just said they had their bands scanned at the rides.

We just got back. For the morning EMH there were CM's floating around just before RD asking if people had them, just kind of making sure people knew they needed them for entrance. Then you just scanned them at the Mickey upon entering per usual entrance. For evening, no one ever asked us. When we were leaving Fantasmic on an EMH night some people were trying to figure out how to get back towards the rides not exit and I did hear a CM ask them if they were on site guests with bands. Other than that I never saw anyone checking other folks and we were never asked to show them. Maybe they are just kind of looking for them and we don't realize it?

We were there 2 weeks ago. For AM EMH you scan your MB at the gates and it shows what resort you are staying at.

For PM EMH, they scanned at attraction entrance.

Did you ride rides during the PM EMH? That's where they are checking per the other reports. You don't need to be a on site guest to be in the park during the PM EMH.

For PM EMH, bands are scanned at the entrance to each attraction.

So for AM EMH, do you only need to scan your MB at the turnstile and the turnstile scanner verifies your ticket and verifies that you are a resort guest? Or, do they scan your MB to verify you are a resort guest before you get to the turnstiles? Just wandering if we need to wait in an additional line before going thru the turnstiles.

This is really all so new that each day you might experience something different. We experienced all of the following:

AM
1) our bands were pre-scanned before getting to Mickey turnstiles to then scan again, looser flow, floating cm's

2) scanned at Mickey head then 1 person in group scanned again just inside to confirm resort

3) roped off line (very long) to pre-scan before entering the large queue area to wait & scan at Mickey head at opening time, mentioned to family that I did not allow for this much wait time just to enter park

PM
1) scanned bands prior to entering each line, sometimes the line to scan was the line for the ride, so once scanned the wait time was less than 5 minutes, this is going to be a problem for fast loading rides if the band scanning is the limiting factor

2) long scan lines had a cm "looking" for bands just to keep you for waiting 15 minutes just to be denied entry, but ultimately you were scanned

3) no scanning whatsoever, there were so few people at the park one night (or I should say early morning) that there was no need to scan there was no wait on any ride, on the other hand I also suspected the entire scanning system may have been down and that's why the scanners disappeared as the night wore on and crowds thinned

I would say be prepared for any new manifestation of the emh program.

Sounds like they're trying different iterations to see which one works best.
