What gives? The first 19 days of August there are 6 EMH Evenings scheduled for the Magic Kingdom. Then from August 19th through September 7, there is just one. So people like us, who are staying from August 25th- September 2nd, don't get the late night in the parks? Any ideas why they would put out a schedule like that?

August 31, Wednesday, is an Evening EMH at MK.

HTH

Must've missed it. In that case, I plead lunacy, and apologize for wasting the 30 seconds it took people to read my missive.

And thanks for the help.

I think your confusion may have come from the park hours listed on this website for Aug. For some reason, Aug. 30 is listed twice and Aug. 31 is not listed at all. I wondered about that also as we will be there at that time too and I checked Disney's website and saw that yes there are EMH hours on Wed. Aug. 31.

So, despite all the advice here, are you going to try the EMH hours for MK too? I think we are. We almost always stay offsite and EMH hours are one of the main things I was looking forward to about staying onsite this time. Now after reading how crazy busy they are here, I'm not sure we're being wise.

We will be at the POR late August-early Septermber and I also am concerned about EHM and how crazy-crowded they will be.

Someone else on the boards suggested going to whatever park had them the day AFTER they have them because by then, everyone else has been there/done that.

What do you think?

We went to WDW this same week (the week before Labor Day) in 2002. There was hardly anyone there. Why is everyone thinking the crowds will be so much higher this time? Free dining?

:confused3

I think we're going to stick with our plan to try EMH nights because we are SO looking forward to them. However, once we get there, we may change plans if it is indeed as crazy as everyone is describing.

I think the day after theory makes a lot of sense. However, I will be trying the August 31 EMH at MK. My brother turns 8 on September 1, so what could be more fun than celebrating your birthday at midnight in MK. We'll just take an extended nap in the afternoon and tough it out.

As for the rest of them, I may hit two or three morning hours, because I know they work, but I won't be hitting the night time ones. They were too busy in January when we went, I can't imagine what it will be like in August.

I think the free dining is doing it. WE went two years ago at this time, and nothing. Literally nothing. It's why I'm going back again this time. The free dining really screwed me over because we all have AP's.

If you look at the hours of the parks though, it doesn't look like they're expecting that big of crowds. They have MGM closing at 8:30 every day, and MK only open until 10 p.m. once, with two Spectro's. So we shall see.
