Is EMH in the morning at Magic Kingdom busy? I know people stay out for the EMH at night. Our trip is in August and wanting to know if it would be worth it or to stay away. Thanks!

Not that busy and WELL worth it. :sunny:

We always like the morning EMH better than the PM ones, just because we don't like being up so late. We get a bunch done in that hour! But, we haven't been there in August, so take it for what it is worth!

I hate people who are happy in the morning, I wouldnt go ;)

Not too busy. We usually are able to ride most of Fantasyhland plus Buzz, space, and TTA before regular opening.

Let me add that you can get a lot done in all the parks if you get there before opening (EMH or regular). The really big crowds don't arrive until later in the morning.
Also, the EMH morning park will get really busy by 11am or so with the combination of Disney resort and off-site guests. At that point you may want to hop over to another park or take a resort break and then go to another park.

Morning EMH at MK are a MUST for me. I am a morning person IRL & wake up early on vacation anyways. But aside from that, I can knock out all the biggies in MK & my favorite smaller rides by Noon if I hit early entry at gate opening.

Example - Last Dec, We (DS 17 & I) did Space Mountian 5 times back to back, hit Buzz, Speedway, Peter Pan, Pooh, IaSW, Splash, Big Thunder & Pirates before having lunch at 11:30 by being at the Gates at 7:45 on a morning EMH day. Since we gathered Fast Passes along the way, we were able to ride many things after lunch with little to no wait even tho the Crowds poured in around 11.

EMH mornings are great if you are a morning person like me. We find that they provide us with lots of extra time to enjoy the rides and that we can walk onto any ride we want to go on the entire time, that is especially true at the MK where there are many more rides open than at the other parks.

i have found that for the extra hour in the morning it is busier than non EMH mornings, not to bad but you will notice the difference (longer lines). I would recommend going with all the disney resort guests to every EMH AM that they have. Morinings are definately better than evenings! especially when the Kids get up at 6am anyways. Less time to continually answer "when are we going, when are we going"

You can't beat morning EMH at Magic Kingdom--you really can get on any attraction, and with a little planning, you can accomplish more by 11AM than the rest of the day and evening combined. The bad news is that on EMH morning days, by noon the park is usually so full that it is uncomfortable. We typically hop to anther park or back to the resort by lunchtime.

I don't know if its true, but I read somewhere (probably on these boards someplace) that the typical Disney vacationer arrives at the park around 11:00 AM. We have certainly found in our years visiting Disney that even without EMH, we can do alot more in the morning.

To me, the Early EMH at MK are not worth the time/crowds that are there. There are very few attractions that are open for the EMH, which causes the crowds there to be tightly packed in a few "lands." Anyone else experience or think this?

Don't get me wrong, I love EMH, I just don't care for the Early ones at MK! Now, the lates one, I love!
