Do I only get one EMH if I stay one night at DL Hotel or could i potentially check in at 7am and leave luggage and get 2 EMH? Just curious if I could maximize my EMH time.

Yep, both days! I belive you can start checking in as early as 6am (they will text you when the room is actually ready) which would even get you to the gates by 7

yup - we did this last year when we started out at HoJo's - we went to GCH at 7am to check in and then did EE at 8am at DCA - of course, we left GCH and went through the main entrance since the lines are shorter than using the special GCH entrance. We then went back to HoJo's in time for check out later in the day and took a taxi back over to GCH to store our bags until our room was ready.

Sorry one more question...just to make sure I'm thinking of this correctly. If I buy a 5 day hopper pass with one EMH I could use that one day (only at DL correct?) and then do a one night stay at a Disney resort to get 2 EMH (checking in bright and early the first day) and that would work in whichever park....so technically I could have 3 EMH with a 5 day park hopper total correct?

Depending on how you time it, yes...is your onsite stay first? Or is it at the end of your trip?

EMH for onsite guests alternates days in each park, too...so, what does your current travel schedule look like with regard to hotel stays and days in the parks?

I can time it however to my advantage except obviously the first night. I arrive Tuesday evening. Parks Wed-Sun.

OK, so if you arrive Tuesday evening, I would stay offsite first.
Wake up Wednesday morning and go to either park with your tickets (Wed is currently EMH @ DCA for onsite guests only)...you'd get into either park at normal operating hours.
Thursday, use your MM on your hopper ticket for early entry to DL
Friday go to the parks @ normal operating hours.
Saturday morning, check in super early to DLH, and go to EMH for DL that day....you can go back to your offsite hotel after EMH and before check out time (probably 11 am) to move your luggage to DLH...saves you time in the early AM...just go check in first so you take advantage of EMH that day!
Use EMH for DCA on Sunday. Go back to DLH before check out time, check out and have them store your luggage until you leave.

I am doing this is October. We're staying 7 nts at the Del Sol Inn, then moving to the DL hotel for 2 nts. We plan on leaving the Del Sol about 5:30 and taking a taxi to the DLH. We will just take our luggage with us then. I'm not going to walk all the way to the DL hotel at 5:30 in the morning, with with or without my luggage. So why not bring our bags with us and be done with it. Other wise we have to walk back to Del Sol later, and either walk all the way to the DL hotel dragging our luggage (we are not light packers) or take a taxi then anyway. I have a 12:30 Goofys Kitchen reservation for us that day. So we can just leave the park, go eat, then hopefully our room will be ready and we can pick up our luggage from them, or I guess they will deliver to the room? I'm soooo excited! With our 2 nts, we will get three EEs. I haven't stayed at the DLH since 1993. And it's changed a little since then! Haha! Of course, it also cost about 20 times as much.

Makes sense to do the taxi idea....I wasn't sure where PP is staying offsite, if it's walkable, etc.
They will deliver the luggage to your room once you're checked in and you call down to ask for them to bring it up...they won't automatically deliver it and have it waiting in your room for you.
If you are staying 7 nights, how many days are you going to the parks? Like the PP, if you have a 3-day park hopper or longer, you'd actually get 4 early entries, including the one to DL that automatically comes on your hopper ticket. :) Just use that up before you check into the DLH to use your EMH's.

We have APs. So no early entry there. We made this the year of Disneyland. 10 days in January, 6 in May and 10 in October. It has been the best year ever!!! But after October it will probably be a couple years. If it were up to me, I would also have an AP, but my husband likes to go other places. Boo!!

Thank you so much. This is my plan now. I appreciate your help!!
