Okay, need some acronym help because I am feeling really confused! I have been planning our trip for some time now and here is what I THOUGHT I was aware of....correct me if I am wrong, please.

#1) WDW offers EMH, Early Magic Hour, to guests of the resort. Opens 1 hour earlier than actual park opening. Only 1 park per day offers this? Sun-MK; Mon-AK; Tues-MGM; Weds.-Epcot; Thurs.-MK; Fri-AK; Sat.-MGM. Is this correct?

Also, regarding this issue, Unofficial Guide states that it is almost better to avoid the park that has the EMH that day due to crowds that attend that park for EMH. Would you all agree, as we have planned out our trip to avoid these parks on most days due to this piece of advice. AHHHHHHH!!!!!

#2) WDW is offering several e-ticket ride nights during the summer for MK ONLY? (I guess this is where I am confused because some people are writing about Epcot e-ticket nights?) $12. Buy tickets at hotel. Attend any park you want in the day, go to MK for the extra 3 hours. Get a wristband. Is this correct?

3) This is all that I am aware of....do you all know something that I need to know? I know that they were "testing" some sort of special morning or night, but I guess I dont know the ins and outs of that and what is different about it. Any info is appreciated!

THANKS!

From May 9 until May 22, Disney is trying a new variation of the Extra Magic Hour system. From May 9, until May 22 ONLY, Disney resort guests can enter a specific park 1 hour before the general public. Then, for three hours, another park (I haven't kept up with the schedule, so I don't know if it's the same park that opened earlier in the morning) remains opens to Disney resort guests. Both the morning and the evening programs are FREE.

They also have a program called E-Ride Nights. They keep the Magic Kingdom (and ONLY the Magic Kingdom) open for 3 hours after the posted closing time. It is for Disney Resort guests only, and you have to purchase a ticket ahead of time. I believe it's $12 per person. There is no permanent schedule for these. Disney releases them sporadically - sort of like park hours. They have some posted for June and July.

Does that make sense, and/or help any?

I'll try to answer your questions...

1. Yes and no! :D Disney is testing a new EMH plan, for two weeks this month. After this test period, the parks will go back to the days you have listed, but I'm not sure when or if the new EMH days and parks will start taking effect.

We always stay on site and never do EMH. We follow the recommendations of the Unofficial Guide and it has always worked well for us.

2. E-nights are only at the Magic Kingdom. You have the rest correct.

3. see #1. Somewhere on this site, you will find more information regarding the testing this month. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=549924

Hope this helps!

Sorry, Dan. I started to answer his questions, and in trying to find the link, I posted after you did. Didn't mean to suggest you didn't know what you were talking about.:D

I'm shocked and dismayed at your lack of trust in my wisdom and knowledge Sharon! ;)

I've been the second posted myself MANY times. :)
