I thought I had it down, but now I'm back to square one ! :sad2: We are going to be in Orlando from Apr.15-22/06. Only going to spend 3 days at parks between MK and AK. I know that the whole week at MK is EMH.

As we are not staying at a Disney resort, can we get in at 7am ?

If we can only get in at 8am, how early should we arrive to the parks ?

Lastly, my anxiety level for crowds is going up, so please just give me blind assurance that we will be fine.

Thanks from a very anxious Canuck... ;)

If you are saying that 8:00 am is the hour for the general public to come in, that is when you can come in. I would probably arrive about 7:45 or so. You can't go to EMH (7:00) unless you are a Disney resort guest and have a KTTW card.

crowds are going to be nuts. just use fastpass and have a strategy and you will be fine.

It will be crazy by midday. Be at the enterance to Disney about 15 minutes before park opening, which means you need to be driving through the parking gates by 30 minutes before opening for the Magic Kingdom(you will then have to use internal transportation to get from your car to the park. Hit the rides you really want to see first, utilize FASTPASS and don't expect to see it all. Take a break midday (Hall of Presidents, young kids running around Tom Saywer's Island, Country Bears and Tiki Birds- except Saywers these are inside 20-30 minute shows) Then when you are cool and rested and people begin leaving after the parade you are ready to get back to the rides.

I was at WDW last week of March last year (which happened to be Easter week), so lots of EMH going on. Much more so than when we go the last week of March this year. You can't get in at 7 unless you're a resort guest, but I'd definitely be there early (no later than 7:45) to be at the ready. There were a few days during Easter week last year when the park filled to capacity. It was VERY crowded, although we managed to do all of fantasyland and a few of the tomorrowland attractions we were interested in before the end of morning EMH. EMH and Fastpass were a godsend that week. I personally found MGM to be more difficult with the crowds than MK.

EMH is a perk for onsite resort guests only. You must show your Room ID card (also known as the Key to the World) to gain entrance.

I agree with the poster above---at the very least you need to be driving in by 7:30 am, take the tram, and be prepared to stand in line. They won't let you enter the gates to get on the monorail until about 7:50 am, so try to be near the front of that line. We were there at Easter week last year, had to stay off-site (by the time we decided to go, we couldn't get a room on-property) and we still had a great time. Make use of the FP and you'll be fine.
