Hi there,

I had already picked up that parks with EMH are best avoided, however on touringplans.com there are 3 'best park' days for Magic Kingdom whilst we are there but 2 of them have EMH in the morning. The first one is the day after we arrive and have planned to visit the park that day, but go back to the hotel for a rest in the afternoon as we have a dinner reservation at CRT in the evening. Now I'm worried that this is the wrong plan of attack.

Any advice?

Thanks

What time of year?

Touring plans is an excellent site and I rely on it so much but it needs context, a busy day late august is a quiet day in early August.

Thanks - it's 31st May to 11th June, I think touringplans have the park down as 6 or 7 out of 10 for crowd levels.

I wouldn't worry too much, if you're hitting a park early for opening then crowd levels won't be too bad EMH or not, and not everyone who stays onsite will take advantage of the EMH. Making use of fastpasses for your 'must do rides' will help too.

Crowd levels may increase around those date due to US schools starting to break up around the end of May / beginning of June - i'm sure someone will know exact dates :)

Your plan of attack is perfect! Hit that park for morning EMH (make use of it, don't turn up at 9) You get your head start into the park and by the time noon rolls around and it's starting to get busy, you would have done a LOT and will be ready to leave and go back to your (gorgeous!! ) resort for a break. :thumbsup2

Touringplans advise against EMH on the assumption that you are NOT using them, however they do explain that if you use them as described above (and as per your original plan) they are well worth taking advantage of. Go for it, have fun, and watch yourselves turn into EMH (and POFQ ;) ) fans :goodvibes

Thanks for the reassurance. I'd already changed my plans for the first 4 days multiple times, couldn't face changing them again!

Well if it aint broke, don't fix it :)

You've got it right, in my opinion so just relax and roll with it when you get there.

You've got Touringplans (they DO work!!) and you've picked our favourite resort - you're going to have a great time!

Totally agree! we take advantage of morning EMH's (who wouldn't want to spend extra time at a park?!) although we did get carried away going on BTMR three times in a row - a bit too much first thing in the morning ;)

PS, 2Tiggies 2010 trip report is well worth a read :goodvibes
