Emerald Reserve vs. Emerald Ise

If I reserve a full size car but see something like an SUV or Minivan on the Emerald Isle, can I take that instead of going to the emerald reserve for the full size car? Just looking for the best of both worlds. I have never gotten anything more than an intermediate when I booked the emerald isle. I must have bad timing.

I thought that the Emerald Aisle was only for those who booked an Intermediate size car and if you booked another size, you went to that aisle.

I always book an Intermediate for the gamble that I might get something better. I'd be a little bummed if someone who booked another size took a neat car I could have gotten.

I booked a mini-van which is an Emerald Reserve & was told to go to the ROW of the vehicle type I had rented. I have a choice of mini-vans, but not a choice of vehicle types. In other words there should be a row of mini-vans, another row of suv's, another row of full-size, etc. I believe you will have to go the full size row, but you might have choices there.

You can ask an attendent. One time we had reserved full size for 4 people and all they had on full size was a Sebring convertible. There was an Aztec on the Emerald Aisle, we asked if we could take it, the attendent asked if we were Emerald Club, we said yes, he said go ahead.
