Emerald Reserve Question

Hi..just wondering ..we have a 7 passanger minivan reserved on emerald reserve...25.00 coupon applied. If there is a 8 paasnger minivan there (coupon not applicible..higher rate) can we take it for our reserved rate or would the higher rate/no coupon be in effect ? I always rented from the car care center so it's a first using emerald reserve (not aisle) thanks for any help

My guess would be only if there were no 7 passenger vans.

You can ask. However, they are generally in different areas within the lot and they would want to charge you.

When we went last year I tried in vain to find a Sienna on Emerald Reserve Minivan aisle, but there weren't any. I did see two being loaded, but they were brought around for those families, so must have been prebooked by them. I didn't realize that the Siennas were 8 passenger vans that they carry, because there are 7 pass. Siennas as well (just not there). I did ask this recently (last month) and someone posted that I would be charged for an 8 passenger (WAY more!). We had a Buick Terraza last year from ER that we LOVED!!! So hoping for that again ...

No they will not let you take a Sienna (8 passengers) if you have booked a 7-person van. They keep the 8-person vans back for those who have specifically booked them. That's what the counter reps at National told me a few months ago, and I know it's true as when we got there at MCO (with a ressie for an 8-person van), there were none on the aisle. After trudging back to the counter in the garage, they went to wherever they keep them and brought one up for me.

Ive also seen the 8 passenger vans parked with the other vans, but they lock them up so you can't get in without an agent...
