Anyone stayed here recently? We check in June 10. We go an awesome rate here.

I will post a review when we return.

:yay:

We stayed at the Embassy on Kyngs Heath road for Valentine's/presidents day weekend. It's a new hotel, everything was great. They were sold out the weekend we were there (heard it when we checked in at 2:30 am after driving from the D.C. area). Couldn't tell they were fully booked at any point.

It's about 15 - 20 minutes from the park. This was our first off property stay, so we don't have much to compare to for off property collection.

I'd recommend it as a nice place to stay, probably in our top 2 or 3 Embassys, along with Anaheim South. If I had to complain about something, they gave us you many towels there was a stack about 1' tall on the table when checked in.

BTW, the breakfast guys are awesome!

I'm a picky frequent traveler- I'm typing this from a first class seat at 40k feet. Lol. I stayed at this hotel last year when my daughters volleyball team booked it for a competition stay. I was very pleasantly surprised and recall telling myself that I could stay here again. We did leave after the competition to check into another 8 nights at the Waldorf but I could have stayed at the embassy without crying. :-). It was a little farther away from the disney gates than i wanted to be....but that wasn't intolerable. And the pool is small and the pool deck area is really tight and surrounded by a wall. But the too itself...and the lobby area.... were very nice. Enjoy your trip!!

Stayed here a few weeks ago. You gotta love a new hotel. The breakfast is fantastic and staff is great. Fantastic rooms. With that said if you like more of a resort style stay this is not it. For a peace of mind place to sleep and delicious breakfast it is a winner for sure!!

Stayed here for 7 nights ending June 17. Great place. Reviews were accurate. 10 min. drive to be on Disney property. In-room refrigerator had ice in cokes/water. Pool temp comf. If you have any questions I'll try to answer.

It had one bathroom, but an extra sink in the bedroom, and a 3rd sink in the kitchenette area.

For those that have stayed here already, What is the nearest supermarket and pharmacy? Any good casual sit down restaurants nearby? If you used the laundry room, was it really busy?

Thanks!

Walmart is maybe less than 1/2 mile north of it and Publix is across the street, Target just south of Publix.
Used Laundry room and never busy.
Literally a block south it dead ends into 192. At the intersection and around it are Smokey Bones, Bob Evans, Olive Garden and Fridays ... a little further west on 192 is Longhorn, Cracker Barrel and tons of fast food and small name restaurants. Don't rule out hotel restaurant if you don't feel like going out, check the menu.

I also used the laundry room with nobody else around. I think there was a small laundry room on each floor. Washer/dryer worked well too.

:thumbsup2 Stayed last weekend for five nights. Just as nice as when it opened. Several conferences going on so hotel was full but no issues other than more energy at the bar in the evenings. We did manager reception and they had added a really good corn and bean salsa, more veggies and dips. Staff and housekeeping were great. It was our third stay since it opened and have seen no decline in our experience.

My two cents. We stayed here Christmas /NY and had several problems.Yes it is new, the water was off for like four hours one evening. The hoot tub was broke for a couple of days and pool went unheated.Happy hour here is well drinks and forgetable beer. They charge a "resort fee" to recoup the remodeling costs.I have to say I received $20k in points for our troubles. The place is newly remodeled to me it is better for families with small children. The waterpark is for little kids nothing for teens. Maybe we caught them on bad week but for the prices and the resort fee and the parking it adds up.Not sure it is worth what you pay.But it does get you a suite, it does have food and drink.Let's say I am on the fence about future stays.I am considering Hampton nest door, it is like $90 a night cheaper. If you go for a week that can add up.No resort fees or parking at Hampton..

You are posting about the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. It is located outside DTD, it is not new but an older resort that just had a rehab. I stayed before the rehab and will not return because of the resort fee.

This thread is about the Embassy Suite Lake Buena Vista South. It is down 535 just before it hits 192. Only 2 years old, much more sophisticated. No resort fees and no playground and kid stuff/outdoor recreation other than a very quiet pool area with nice hot tub, outdoor bar and waterfalls. It is a 10 minute drive to MK parking lot.

Previous poster is correct. Also this embassy lbv south does not charge for parking.

That being said, I can't get an awesome rate here this time so we are doing a split stay --pop century & buena vista suites.

Yeah, our last stay was on points (they do offer a good value on points vs other Hiltons in area). I'm getting worried that the secret is out and it will get harder and harder for good rates there.

Did you know Buena Vista ditched their old club and now part of the independent hotel club Stash Awards? You can collect points.
