My wife and I just stayed there and it is an awesome place. Free cocktails every evening, great free breakfast and huge 2 room suites.

The biggest downside is that its a few miles out just off of FL 535 on Kyngs Heath Road and pretty much requires the use of a car.

It is a great place to stay if you want to stay off site.

We did a short walk through video.

Good to know. As someone who more often than not stays offsite, its always good to have another good place to keep in mind. To me offsite always implies having a car...hotel shuttles are terrible (Lyft/Uber may be okay, but haven't tried them yet)

One of our very favorite offsite resorts. We have stayed at four of the Orlando Embassy's and this is by far the nicest with the best staff. We use Embassy often when traveling and they by far have had the best breakfast and manager's reception.

Agree you need a car (I wouldn't stay off property without one) but it was a very short drive hotel to parks, totally avoiding Disney Springs.

They do not have a resort fee but do charge for parking. But some off site resorts charge $30 or more resort fee and parking so it really isn't a bad deal. But if you are looking for something with a Disney feel, this place isn't it.

We went ahead and booked it for our weekend after Thanksgiving trip.

It was between this at $180/night or POR for $250/night. Was tempting to go back on site, as we do like utilizing the buses. But with a family of 5, I just cant turn down the opportunity to save $70/night, plus get all that extra space, plus the free breakfast buffet.

Also, a legit room service option until 11 or so at night.

How long was the drive into MK, if anyone recalls?

Looking forward to it!

Hotel parking lot to park parking lot is possibly in 10 minutes,
MK a little longer, 15 minutes.
Key is avoid Disney Springs area.

Did you just shoot down 192?

You can but we don't ... too many lights.

We utilize 536 and International Drive South (just below 536) depending on which park we are going to.

This is to MK Toll Booth. Other parks we are usually in the park lot 10-12 minutes after leaving hotel.

A little tip going to/from this resort. I use my phone's GPS but I have it selected to avoid toll roads. It is very easy to find yourself on a toll road. Many times the GPS goes that route unless you have it selected to avoid them.

Stayed there about 20 years ago, liked it, always said we'd go back, too bad we never did.

This hotel is only 5 years old.

You might be thinking of the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista which is not far out of Disney Springs. It is older, was renovated a few years ago.

I guess it would have been impossible then eh :). I watched the video and the place did look familiar though ;).

if I recall, the place we stayed was right off 4.

Yes, the older Lake Buena Vista one backs right up to I-4.

The newer one, Lake Buena Vista South is several miles south of I-4 on 535.

There are now about 4 Embassy Suites within probably 10 miles of each other. Maybe one of these days we will try and stay in another one and do a comparison video.

Just got back from our stay here. We loved it! Favorite hotel we've stayed at for under $200/night, by Disney. We even got "mousekeeping". Can't even get that at WDW anymore. Can't say enough good things about it.
