More about the hotel: The Embassy Suites Hotel Lake Buena Vista Resort is located only one mile from Walt Disney World(R). It features indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts. Every spacious two-room suite features a fully furnished living room with a wet bar and a pullout sofa and a private bedroom with a king bed or two double beds. That's enough room to sleep up to 6 people!

Although Embassey Suites Lake Buena Vista is certainly not a resort , my family of four stayed here and enjoyed it. The pool is basic but well maintained. The breakfast was very good and a great money and time saver. We had one of the newer rooms by the pool. These rooms are much nicer than the interior rooms above the lobby. We looked at an interior room because it was cheaper but it was dated and smelled like smoke. Also some of the rooms by the pool back the highway, you can hear the traffic in these rooms. We enjoyed the extra space , although I think 6 in a room would be cramped. Hope this helps.

We stayed here this past August. We paid $99.00, so this deal is very good. It was our first trip to WDW and we were very happy with the accomodations. Clean, updated, very helpful staff, housekeeping excellent, breakfast was very good (a great money saver each day!), enjoyed the managers reception (although we did not attend every day, but was a fun thing to do occasionally, especially during those 4-7pm thunderstorms!). Suites were not huge, but worked out great for my family of 4. We had a refrigerator in the room, didn't keep things ice cold but worked out well for snacks, & drinks. Ice machines on every floor!

It is very close to WDW, and DTD, although I would recommend renting a car, because you would feel isolated if not. We stayed in one of the interior lobby rooms, and found it great, we did stay on the 6th floor, it was away from the center area, I would think if you were on the 1st or 2nd floor it might be noisy from the lobby area. However the rooms were identical to the "newer pool area" rooms (I did look at them) All the rooms have been updated!

The pool is decent, not wonderful, but adequate. I would think that some of the more "resort" type places would have fancier pools, but for the $ you will be very satisfied.

We love Embassy Suites, and have had luck with this chain, Has one of the best breakfast's around. If you are thinking of staying off site, go for it!

We're just the opposite, we like the rooms in the main building. To me they looked identical excpet the inside rooms are green and the lanai suites are blue. I like staying in the main building because it's quieter and it's much more convenient. Did it smell like smoke because it was a smoking room? I have stayed there many times and have never had a room that smelled like smoke or that seemed run down. It's my favorite hotel chain. Can't beat the brakfast or the free happy hour.
