Embassy or Hampton Inn?

I am in the beginning stages of planning our first trip to DL. We are WDW regulars but this will be our first to DL. We earn points at Hilton hotels and I was thinking about staying at either Embassy Suites South or the Hampton Inn. Does anyone have any input on either of these? We are a family of 5 (myself, DH, and 8 year old triplets). We don't fit in just any hotel room and the benefit of breakfast included and points is very attractive.

Any input on these two would be a great help.

Thanks!

We have stayed at Embassy Suites South 2 years ago. We very much enjoyed our stay. Took ART shuttle to/from parks. Rooms were good size, ours had a view & we watched fireworks one night from our room. Breakfast was great! Pool also nice. Honestly no clomplaints at all. We walked to Outback steakhouse from hotel one night for dinner; target is also close by. This year on our upcoming trip we are going to try out Double Tree Suites (but this doen't have complimentary breakfast). We are Hilton Gold members though, so it will come with 2 breakfast vouchers/day.

I have not stayed at the Hampton Inn, but we have stayed at many Embassy Suites and always enjoy! :goodvibes

I'm assuming you're looking at the Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn in Garden Grove. We found that we actually prefer to be closer to the park so we don't have to deal with shuttles or parking structures, so it's been a few years, but we loved the Embassy Suites when we stayed there. Just wish it were closer to the parks. We have not stayed at the Hampton Inn, but it is literally right next to Embassy Suites. In fact I think they even shared the same shuttle stop. Generally speaking, Embassy Suites are usually our first choice when looking at booking a hotel for any of our trips. We think they have the best free breakfast and we enjoy their made to order omelettes. Embassy Suites have a nice open atrium and just a nicer ambiance overall than Hampton Inn, IMO. But I would probably choose whichever has a cheaper rate. You can't really go wrong with either one.
