Embarrassing Moments at DL?

. . . The shorts were a very light baby blue color so it REALLY looked like I pooped my pants. . . Thankfully someone told me and my Dad bought me a really cute (and expensive) pair of Roxy shorts . . .
Dad to the rescue!

Last year we took our first trip to DL and stayed at the DLH. Our first afternoon at the pool DS6 worked hard to pass the swim test and go down the slide. I was a little nervous about him going down by himself, so I walked him up the slide and stood in line with him.

I overheard two burly men discussing how slow the slide was, in fact one had gotten stuck and had to push himself along the route to keep going. I'd also seen women come out the bottom and slip gently into a standing position in the pool, so I told DS I would go down the slide first, and then be nearby when he came down to help him. He readily agreed.

Once I got the signal from the CM, I pushed off into the stream and hit the first curve. I picked up speed and whirled around the second bend, and before I knew it I was rushing out the end, feet up in the air and my ample bottom hitting the pool first! Water rushed up my nose and I kicked around to get my feet under me.

I popped out of the water, spluttering and snorting, hair dripping wet. So much for that graceful exit! :rotfl:

When I was about 5 years old, my grandparents took me to DL. We saw the 3 little piggies comeing our way, to my delight.:yay: My grandfather told me to turn around to see who had snuck up behind me. I turned and let out a shriek, I was so scared, :scared1: I kicked the big bad wolf in the shin as hard as I could and ran and hid behind my grandfather as he is laughing his face off!! Sorry wolfie!!:rotfl:

I can't even remember how old I was at the time, I know it was years ago, but I have always been terrified of rides. I can't help it, most just scare the daylights out of me unless I've actually been on them before. Even if it's something so non-scary as the Jungle Cruise. I normally just refuse to do anything new, except maybe one "daring" adventure per year. Well, I don't know how they talked me into it, but the family that we had gone with convinced me to go on Indy. While waiting in line they kept hiding wherever they could to jump out and scare me, so by the time we got to the front of the line I was in tears and crying so hard, and I was so afraid of the ride I didn't stop screaming the whole way through. I lived though, although I will still never go back on that ride. I remember running out to my mom, tripping over a stroller and just throwing myself at her.

Maybe not embarrasing, but certainly traumatic for me.

I remember going to WDW in 71 when I was 5YO. My aunt took me on HM and I screamed while the room grew. Then I saw the doom buggies and screamed some more. They had to take me out the emergency exit.

Ok, another WDW story. When RNR first came out we had to try it. I screamed through the ride I was so scared. Yes, my dh bought the picture. I was hysterically crying. I had to swing a leg out and lay on the floor. The CM's were great and helped me to a seat and brought me water. Jeez, there were 5 YO's on the ride and there's me crying like a baby.

My story isn't about me, but about my dad and my brother. Growing up, my brother's nickname was Goose. So we're all at WDW, in line for the monorail (my brother is maybe 4, I'm 6) when my brother starts to put his hand up the skirt of the woman in front of us. My dad yells "Goose" to get him to stop....the lady turned around and gave my dad the dirtiest look because she thought he was encouraging my brother to goose her.

lol now thats funny and bad.. i hope the lady didnt hit your dad with her bag..

oh one about me not in dl. I was at an amusment park here (the only one) any ways i was so hiped i knew i could go on the big rides and oh funn..but the log ride scared me i dont know how old i was but there are two downs to it. the first one i went down scremaing and when it was going to the hier one i shock my ehad screamed cryed. they had to stop the ride and take me down stairs that were along the ride. i didnt know about them but sure glade they had them..i was so scared.

My most embarrassing moment at DL was when I was about 13 years old. It was my first time through the Haunted Mansion, and let's face it, I was a bit frightened in the stretching room.

I felt my mom's hand on my shoulder, so I reached up and held it tightly for several minutes. When the doors opened and we were ready to move, I turned around to see a (very cute!) male CM holding my hand. He was, of course, completely in character with the straightest, most frightening face ever, but I was MORTIFIED.

(It's still one of my favorite, but embarrassing, moments. My friends thought it was hilarious!)

:rotfl:

When my ex-wife was a kid about 10 years old or so she went to DL with her family. Anyway, they were boarding the jungle cruise and she was lagging behind the rest of her family. They had all boarded and the boat was starting to pull away from the dock... the only problem was... she was still on the dock. So the CM on the boat is telling her to hurry up and she's not so sure she can make it when...

the CM on the dock pushes her towards the boat and she falls in the water. From there they had to follow emergancy proceedures and she had to be "rescued by EMTs and wheelchaired to the first aide station...

She still won't ride the jungle cruise to this day!

This is nothing compared to most of your stories! I laughed a good bit reading through this thread! Anyway...

On the last day I was at Disneyland on my most recent trip I was stylishly sporting the Jack Sparrow dreadlocks/bandana and in the morning my friend and I decided to ride Pirates first. So we were seated in the very front and the castmembers were getting a kick out of my look, I guess because I had my natural gigantic curly ponytail sticking up through the top. The guy paused our boat before launching and said "Ladies and gentlemen you are very lucky to have the honor of riding with our friend Captain Jack Sparrow this morning. Say hello to your captain!" In good spirits I turned around and waved but everyone had this horribly grumpy look on their faces and no one said a word to me. So I slowly turned around and prayed that we'd start moving and get this ride over with. I felt humiliated the entire rest of the ride!

I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt that either they weren't paying attention, didn't know they were supposed to say hello to me (they probably wouldn't suspect a girl), or were just really tired. Haha.

I know I have something better but luckily I can't remember!
