Embarrassing foot problem...

Well, I have toenail fungus… I really don’t want to take the prescribed medications to cure it because I’ve heard they are very harsh on the body/liver. I’ve been reading about some home remedies like vinegar, and Vicks Vaporub. Has anyone ever used these for fungus? If so, did you find they worked, or are there any other home remedies that you found worked for fungus. If you don’t want to post here because you are embarrassed, please feel free to send me a PM. White vinegar, twice a day, at the nail bed. It will take 6 months. It worked for my mom who had it on her big toe for over 20 years. She even did the oral drugs which did not work.
