Embarkment Lunch - Dining Room or Buffet?

On our last cruise we did the buffet. It was really hard to get tables, especially because there were 11 of us and we all wanted to be near each other. We also had a problem with seagulls trying to get our food. I was thinking about having lunch in the dining room instead. What is the lunch like there?

I think you will find it enjoyable. I believe the food is the same as in Topsiders.

Parrot Cay offers the same buffet that is offered in Topsiders.

I used to know this, but I forget. Does anyone know what is served? I cant seem to find a menu for the embarkation buffet.

Also, does anyone know the hours of the buffet and Parrot Cay? We are not expecting to be on board until around 3PM and are wondering if we will be able to eat before the life boat drill.

I don't think embarkation menus are on Dave from Marietta's site since there's no menu. It's generally buffet with peel and eat shrimp, and a carving station. Plenty of salads, usually some kind of chicken, kid friendly things like mac and cheese and chicken strips. Pluto's and Pinnochios are usually open slightly later than the buffets to get burgers, dogs, and pizza. Everything closes up at 3:30 to prepare for the 4 pm lifeboat drill though, so getting on board at 3 will leave you with the burger pizza option if anything. I think room service is probably available after the drill though.

This will probably be the last time on board that you'll have problems finding food! It's usually available just about any time and any place!

Thanks Lisa! Im pretty sure the menu used to be on Barb & Tonys site, but I cant seem to find it there anymore. Or at least I remember reading it somewhere online once. We skipped the buffet on our last cruise so thats why I cant remember what was offered.
