I am trying to plan our morning and was wondering what time embarkation usually began in Barcelona.

I know port arrival times but I am looking at actually what time people began getting on the ship.

Thanks very much!!

Terminal was opened at exactly 10.30 am and embarkation on my recent cruises started st 11.30 am.

You could get back off again if you wish, but need to be back by 4 pm.

anyone have pictures of the embarkation area?
i mean before you get into the terminal...
also, did you get into the rooms at the traditional time (1?)

thanks!! that looks pretty nice for not being port canaveral!
did they have many check in desks?
It's functional , basic, bland, an open large warehouse style, for multi use, I bet they can store goods there in winter, it's all flexible. Movable seats. DCL put a few signs up. There are the normal amount of check in desks, it flows fast.

It's modern, OK restrooms, poor canteen, can be a hit hot in summer, just bland.

well you're not in there for long...
it looks similar to what royal caribbean uses in Seward alaska.....does the trick....gets you checked in....keeps you dry for the short wait before boarding..

Yes it does, I say it as it is, functional, not DCL Port Canaveral, just does the job, if you get there at 10.30 your there an hour, in the past, you got on at deck two, but now they have a bridge you get on via deck three like port Canaveral.

Yes a big plus, in 2007, we embarked deck 2, any they sent us up in elevators to deck 9 and did the welcome X family there announcement, then they built the walkway bridge circa 2011/12 and walking on is easy to the atrium and announced there and you can get your bookable items at guest services etc.

A big change and improvement.

Enjoy your cruise.

The two times we've embarked in Barcelona, rooms are open at 1:30 pm same as at Port Canaveral. Same was true in Dover.

The first time in 2010 we got there about 11:30 by DCL transfers and had to stand in line outside the building for a bit but then checked in and boarded pretty quickly. The second time in 2013 we got there about 12 noon by DCL transfers and walked right in, fast checkin and boarded immediately. But both times we had to hang out in the Cove Cafe until rooms were ready.

we did the cruise from there in 2014 and once nice thing was that they had a few small stores for buying things like wine, booze, snacks in the terminal.
