Everyone has them. What was one of your most embarassing moments that you're willing to share?
Mine happened at Disney. We were staying at CR and were going to catch the first monorail of the morning. It was already sitting there and seeing the counter at the end of the track, we knew it would be leaving soon. We took off jogging to get on board.
I had new athletic shoes on, and didn't realize the tread wrapped up over the toe. While jogging, I dragged my right foot and the tread on the toe caught on the carpet and I started going down.
This, of course, happened right in front of the monorail so the CMs and passengers saw everything. I started to fall flat on my face, the carpet rushing at me in slow motion.
Two things went through me head. One, this is going to hurt. Two, I must do something to save my pride. I tucked down into my shoulder and rolled through the fall, amazingly coming back up on my feet still jogging along. The CMs looks went from shock, to rushing to my aid, to surprise in seeing me back up and still jogging along.
I boarded the monorail to laughter and applause from everyone already there. The only things damaged were my ego, dignity and pride......and pride means a lot to lions.
My family dubbed me creator of the "Tuck N Roll" and it always comes up as a story they tell.
Anyone else have a red-faced moment?
