Hello all,
I just received an e-mail which appeared to be a warning of suspension of services from Ebay if I did not click the link provided to "verify my account information" on file with them.
Something about compromising the integrity of ebay and its users.
Tahnk goodness I did not click the link. I was angry enough to do it ALMOST! But then went over it one more time in my head when it dawned on me what was going on.
Instead closed the e-mail and opened a new browser and chatted with ebay directly to find out this is what they call a Spoof e-mail and that they are "Phishing" for information by shocking and unnerving a person into clicking the provided link and then providing personel and confidential information.
Should you receive such an e-mail please contact ebay and then you can forwarded it to them for further investigation.
WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.
