Email Code - Slim Choices Available

Was able to get ressies for both an early October trip and December trip but geeeeeeeez not much to choose from~! I'm happy to have what I have . . . but will hope for something better to switch to later with our AP's.

Nothing at WL, nothing at POR or several other moderates, down to Music at the All-Stars, nothing at the other two, not sure if DU checked POP or not.

For now we have AS-Mu for Oct. and AKL for December.

Anyone else have a hard time finding rooms with the email code?

Here's hoping availability is increased property wide real soon~! Not to mention my cable modem was fried yesterday and they can't come until tomorrow so I went and swapped out the modem myself at their office and installed myself vs. waiting. I was so bad off this a.m. I found myself at the library checking my AOL via remote access~! How sad is that??? LOL

Congrats on getting the email. I am one of the countless "unlucky" ones that didn't get one.
This however confirms my fear that if I ever do there won't be anything left if I ever do!

Maybe not your first choices; but consider yourself luckier than some of us! Cheer Up! It could be worse! You could be in my shoes! Still waiting!

I really hope everything isn't already gone. We just got the email yesterday, and my DH went into talk to his boss today about holiday schedules. We hope to go in mid-Dec. to POR, but I'd take anything at those rates.

I called with the email code yesterday - we wanted the Caribbean but it was not available for our time -- none of the other moderates were either. I took Pop Century of $49 -- we are excited about that. We originally had reservations at All Star Movies for $99.
We are going Oct. 16 - 24.

I didn't get a e-mail I got a postcard I already had a Pool View at AKL with the Sept Promo code and they just switched it over to the new cheaper postcard rate. But she did have to see if those rooms were availale before she gave me the discount. But I kept the same Reservation number so they must have diffrent block of rooms for diffrent promos. I just recieved my postcard today and it is the same rate as the e-mail rates.

I'm thrilled to have received the email, I'm one of those who never gets the post cards or other codes~!

Just called and was told that for 10-21 to 10-28 the YC was sold out. But their were rooms at BWI and BC (concierge) .

BC concierge was quoted at $335 night room only

Count us as one of the lucky ones...we had 2 nights (10/7 & 10/8) at CR in a garden wing with a AAA rate of $265 (inc tax). We were able to apply the email rate of $212.

Out of curiousity, I had the CM check the Poly...we were able to get a garden view for $233/nt.

Suckers for the Poly that we are...we changed. We haven't stayed at the Poly since we were married there in 1992!

It's not necessarily busier than normal, it's just Disney puts aside a certain number of discounted rooms per resort and then once those are full people must pay full price/use different code.

We just booked two rooms at POR for the email rate during mid-December, no problem. We thought we might have to go with value if they were sold out, so I guess we were lucky.

These rates are as good as any AP rate, at least for the values and mods. I've never seen a general discount rate that equals AP before.

I got an email & was shocked by the small number of options for my dates. However, when I had them check Rack Rate, they had plenty of rooms at every resort/every room type I checked.

We got an e-mail on Saturday for WL for Dec. 4-8 trip. At first the WL was not available, AKL savannah view, poly, and yacht club were all available. While trying to decide if we wanted to switch to AKL savannah view the room disappeared and was no longer available at the discount price. I asked him to check to see if WL was available, and it was.

My advice, keep checking on the hotel and rooms you really want and don't give up. Someone may have held those rooms and may not be going now, anything is possible. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Hi Everyone

Some of you know this, some don;t but I'm an independent travel agent. What that means is I work from home as a travel agent for a large host agency. I get all the discounts, perks etc of a store front agency but I get to stay at home w/my kids! I started doing this 4 yrs ago after DD # 3 was born. Childcare cost me almost as much a week as I was making so here I am working from home and loving it.

Yesterday I rec'd an email from a client that wanted a pkg to WDW for October. Without air for 6 nts booking directly w/Disney Travel her package was $2397 2 adts/2 kids under 10, taxes, room, unlimited admission, transfers from the airport to POR, cancellation insurance and room at POR. Last night she sent me an email w/a PIN number. I priced it and was able to get a pkg for her at $1859. A BIG Savings.!!! I had no trouble at all getting her dates or her room she wanted.

If you are having problems getting what you want, check w/your local travel agent and see if they can get it for you.

Purplebelle hit the nail on the head when she said a certain number of rooms are allocated for this special discount code. Once they're gone, they're gone and you can't get the discount. This is so very true. Airline tickets are priced at different rates too...once this price seat is gone, they you go up to the more expensive seat....when they're gone you go to the next higher seats and so on. Cruise lines are like this too, almost everything in the travel industry is like this. It really pays off to make your reservations as far in advance as you can. If you come across a better deal than what you've reserved, the cruise companies will usually reduce your package to match what's available now. However, if it's less than a $50 difference they usually won't.

Good luck to those who got the email and postcards. I didn't get either one but couldn't go anyway! WORK!!

I wanted to try POFQ for our 10/13 - 10/17 trip, but no roms available, so I was able to get POR. We stayed there in Feb and LOVED it!!! So glad we were able to get it!

I was able to get the BWI for end of November, but I had to alter my existing reservations (we are now going a week earlier, but no complaints here! )

Out of curiousity I ran our new numbers against what we have been paying if we had just gone the usual route (booking a Dreammaker package). We are saving over 500 dollars. That isn't chump change! Since reading the Unofficial Guide and finding Mousesavers, we've learned a thing or two.

I called with the e-mail and was told there was absolutely no deluxe availability in Nov. for our dates. I called the following day, and I got the Poly for $209. Now I'm hoping to switch it even cheaper when AP rates come out! Has anyone gotten the GF with the e-mail?

Wow, I feel special that my predictions matched that of our very own travel agent, TN Traveler! I really have so much fun planning trips. I actually enjoy hunting up airfare, hotels, destinations, etc etc. Seems like most of us on the disboards do too.

TN Traveler, what does it take to become an independent travel agent, or a travel agent of any kind?

I checked my home email (don't do that too often) and I received an email with the promo PIN code. We were able to get PO-FQ in the beginning of October for $79/night.

I had her check and for waterview it was $93, WL courtyard was $137, AKL Std $365, Pool Std $121 and Dlx Savanah $249. No Std Savanahs were available for our weekend.

Needless to say, we are very happy we got a rate equal to those for September.
