We had an odd experience with a character in the Crystal Palace, and I'd like to email Disney guest relations. Does anyone have a direct email address for them?

thanks! Erin Cox-Holmes

Can you tell us what this experience was?

what kind of odd experience? good or bad?

If you do a forum search, you'll come up with quite a few threads with the guest relations address.

Now you can't just leave us all hanging like that...we're a curious bunch. :flower:

I had an odd experience with Chip (or was it Dale?) at AK once. He (or she??) got a little friendly with my backside....if you know what I mean. ;)

Inquiring minds want to know..

They don't have very good peripheral vision in the costumes. Occasionally they can accidentally touch people in inappropriate areas. Or even knock little ones over.

Hopefully the rest of your trip was great!

hmmm...how friendly?!

15 days and counting! :hourglass

okay--i don't want to start a "thing" here, but...

When Eeyore arrived at our table, our 9 yr old daughter, then our 17 yo son posed with him. My DD knows that Eeyore is a personal favorite, and asked to take a picture of me with him.

To my perception, as he stood next to me, he took his "paw" and started fiddling with my bra strap. I chalked it up to awkward costuming, but then he dropped his hand down to my waist, pulled me in hard next to him, and strongly bumped his hip into mine. Then he laughed in a low voice, "heh, heh, heh," then as I was moving away from him, almost in shock, he made a kissing noise, quite loudly.

I found out last evening that when he was next to each of my kids he had a constant "heh heh heh" sound he was making that, from each of them was "weird."

I know what "ought" to have been done, an immediate consultation with the restaurant manager, etc, but my husband very strongly begged me to let it be until we got home, as he did not want to disrupt the last few days of our vacation.

Once I discovered the character also "spoke" with the kids, I told my DH that I really need to let Disney know, even after the fact.

So--that would be it.

In all of our years of going to disney, the only such experience we've had.

But I'd like to find the appropriate email address to get this to a live human body.

Well, eeyore does seem to have emotional problems...

But seriously , he sounds like he might have been knocking some drinks or something. Any alcohol smell coming out of him?

At Disneyland, almost every single character we met made noises. Whether grunting, kissing, laughing, even saying hello. Seriously, it is pretty freaky! It TOTALLY took us off-guard. It is just too wierd to hear noises from characters.

That said, your experience sounds different and I would certainly let someone know.

Yikes, I'll never look at Eeyore the same again ... and I thought that they weren't supposed to speak? Tell us what Disney says after your email, eh?

From not being there, I cannot judge Eeyore's intentions, but at the very least, you can tell the CM that Eeyore's behavoir made you feel uncomfortable. If it makes you feel any better, the characters cannot typically feel what their hands are touching, but I would still report it if for nothing else for the laughing and kissing noices. Good luck getting in touch with Disney.

This actually isn't the first time I've hear someone say that a character made "kissing" noises, so I wonder if those are really that uncommon. :confused3 As for the rest of your experience, that definitely sounds like it should be brought to the attention of someone at Disney, especially if it made you and your children uncomfortable.

Yeah maybe if you get a hold of Disney, they will get of hold of him and tell him to stop. He will probaly just reply, "Thanks for noticing." is his depressing voice. You know how Eeyore is always trying to get someone to notice him. I always thought that he was a supicious looking *******, but now I guess I know why. :rotfl2:

It was just myself and DH (who was taking the picture so he had limited vision) and Chip (or Dale). He put his arm around my waist for the picture (very normal), then he gave me some very tight and "too" friendly hugs when I was trying to leave and as I was leaving, he patted my bottom twice and seemed to throw in a "squeeze" after that for good measure. His designated CM happened to be busy elsewhere for the moment (which is why DH was taking the picture instead of being in it with me) and I have no doubt he was aware of where his paw was, but I just chalked it up to "whatever."

I had a similar experience with Tweety-Bird in Six Flags.

That is just wrong. My husband used to work at WDW and there is a very long list of extreme rules that must be followed. Should you or anyone me made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, Disney wants to hear about it! Believe me!

I don't know which Six Flags, but the one near Chicago where I used to work always has female Tweetys because of the tights. On the flip side, I interpreted in Court for a defendant accused of groping Lola Bunny at Six Flags while getting his picture taken with her. Rocket science to grope a character while the character handler is taking your picture with the character...

erinch,

I just wanted to add that your story of Eeyore making those "heh heh heh" sounds really seems disturbing to me, and I would have been a little taken aback as well, had I heard it. Blowing a kiss is one thing (Mickey has done that gesture to my kids), but what was up with the "heh heh's" ??? Please share whatever response you receive once you submit your complaint so we may all learn what to do in the event something such as this happens to one of us on any future WDW vacations. I don't know what types of rules the characters have, but something tells me the non-face characters are not supposed to making lewd sounds or even saying "hello" to their fans. I also think WDW would not encourage any butt grabbing - as mentioned by someone else, even if the "gloves" that cover the persons hand under the glove does not really "feel" the butt it touched. I have never heard Mickey say anything - and I hope never to unless I am hearing his voice on a cartoon. But hey, that's me. Good luck.
