With the major shortage of Frozen merch and it's unexpected popularity, I am scrambling to find an Elsa dress for DD for Halloween.

How likely is it that Disney will come out with a Limited Edition version of Elsa's blue dress? And when they do release these Limited Edition dresses online, what time do they usually put them online so I don't see it two hours later and they are all sold out?

Disney said regular Elsa dresses would be back in stock in August. I think someone mentioned there potentially going to be an Elsa coronation dress too at some point.

I've lucked out at my local Disney store in California and so has my sister in NJ. The manager at the Disney store said they are no longer waiting till Saturday to put the Frozen merchandise on the floor. As soon as they get it, it goes out. I found it more difficult to get items on line than in the store. In the case of my local store, I can say that a lot of merchandise has been coming out, including the dresses.

Disney Store online has Elsa dresses in stock this morning! Ordered one for my DD! Now I just need to wait for Anna to come back in stock for my youngest one!

Yes they were sold out by around 8 am the morning (7/14) that was posted.

I found them at Target this week, but before that, I ordered one on this site. It took a few weeks, but it was pretty. http://www.spirithalloween.com/kids_girls_tv-movie-famous-faces_disney-princesses/ It looks like this on:

I call our disney store every day as soon as they open asking. Today they got in Anna's dress. They only had one in dd's size so I picked it up and will keep calling until they get in Elsa's.

The Limited Edition Elsa dress (Blue one when builds castle) was released prior to movie or same week of movie (November 2013). There were 1500, like for all of Disney Limited Edition dresses. I've never known them to re-release a LE. They may do something special for the coronation due to popularity. However, I wouldn't hope too much on that since it wasn't done on the last 3. You never know. The Elsa & Anna LE dresses where the ones used for Let it Go scene. I believe Elsa was $200 & Anna $240, only @ Disney Store, online I think.

Yep. And now they are going for $500-$1,500 on ebay. Even the first editions are going for $300+.

I'd love to have one (and yes, I would have gotten one of the LE's from Disney had I known about it), but I'm not willing to let someone rip me off. I'm usually asleep at 3am, so I always get to the site after they've sold out; especially since these people aren't buying one for their child to use, they are buying 6 to sell on ebay .

I guess I'll just have to keep looking.
