So, I am assuming that by the time my 30 day window opens for FP+, all of the FP+ will be gone for the Elsa and Anna Meet and Greet. My question is: Do we go to them first, right at rope drop or is there another time that is better like during the night parade or right before park closing? Anyone with experience with this?

If your group is old enough to last until later at night, I'd go then.

Also, check back on the FP+ when you're there. I randomly checked to see if we could get them for the next day when we went in July, and someone must have cancelled because I got them! It's like dining reservations, you never know if something's going to open up.

Thanks. My kids are 6 and almost 4, so they would probably be alright around 9:00 during the first parade. Not so sure how photogenic they will be the closer it gets to closing time. LOL

I would strive for park open, then. I found the shortest waits for then. (We have not actually entered the line, though.)

Between 8 and 9 PM, I have seen the waits be an hour or more. (We weren't in that area past that time frame, so don't know about later.)

If staying off site, this may not work on an EMH morning.

I agree that I would go for park opening. We didn't have any luck getting fp last year and did try late at night but the wait was still over an hour. Instead we arrived at RP - my husband wiggled his way to the front and made his way straight there - I was slightly slower behind him with DD - we manage to sneak up through the line to meet him and we were about 15-20 people back. Still waited about 35 min. as they didn't start letting in guests until about 9:15 - was worth it though!!

This is great information! Thanks for sharing! My plan is to arrive at MK by 8:30 (it's not a morning EMH day) and watch the Welcome Show and then head straight to E&A. Hopefully, we will be toward the front of the line. Why did they wait until 9:15 to start letting people in? Weird.

Early last summer just before 11:30 pm, the posted wait time for A&E was 90 minutes but the actual wait was less than 10.

We had plenty of time to visit the girls then rode 7D twice before the midnight close. This was a non-EMH night.

Posted wait or actual wait? I find that near closing time, the posted wait for the headline attractions can often exceed the actual wait by 4 times or more.

Actually watching the show will put you at a big disadvantage. If minimizing A&E wait time is the biggest priority, I would suggest instead that you go to the left tunnel (which will obstruct your view of the show), and get as close to the front of the holding area as you can (at least 1/2 hour early - if not more). It really all depends on how much of a wait for A&E you want to endure in order to see the opening show.

Your kids are probably a little young to plan for at night, but it could be a good plan b. We discovered in December that meeting them right after the fireworks was a great plan. We watched Wishes from behind the castle and found that they rope off an area that includes the entrance to PFTH to contain any firework debris. We waited for this area to reopen after the fireworks and got in line as soon as they reopened it and we waited around 45 minutes. Just something else to consider. Enjoy your trip!

We were there in May at 9:12 AM after watching the opening show the wait was 300 minutes. DH asked a CM if that was a mistake and her said NO!
