Elsa and Anna Salon on the Magic

I saw a while back that the Magic had opened up a Elsa and Anna hair salon on the magic. I have look online and I don't seem to find much info on it. Was it a temp thing or is it still open. We are going next February? Can we book in advance. My niece turns 5 and we are celebrating her bday one of the night on the ship. I would love to treat her to a special day. Thanks!

It is currently a temporary thing in order to accomadate special items for the Frozen themed nights they are doing in Europe. No idea if it will become permenant as at the moment not really in its own area from what I've read just part of the main shop. It is meant to be closing down on the last cruise in Europe before the WBTA but who knows.

We were there May 30 and it looked like it's own set up, up on deck 9 or 10. It looked like a mini BBB. I didn't see any other store items, though admittedly I didn't go in. My kids are all too old for that, though I tried to pay my 15 yo to do it. Given the number of little girls running around with the dresses and hair, I would be surprised if they didn't keep it going for the duration of the summer cruises.

It is small, but definitely its own space. As someone else posted, it is a mini BBB. I was in it in June. It is across from the staircase to the Vibe.

I have no idea if it'll stay, but my 5yo dd loved it, so I'm sure your niece will as well if it's still there. It's not as great as BBB, IMO, because of the space and such, but it's not like my 5yo even realized there was a difference!

At least as of now, you have to book onboard. I went about an hour after we boarded and there was TONS of availability.

Any other information on this? Are the costs similar to BBB? Hair, makeup and nails, or hair only? Did you book once onboard, or ahead of time? My 7 year old would love this on the Magic. We are on the first cruise out of Miami Sept 30 after the reposition. With dry dock right before it, if it is only for the summer frozen cruises, it will likely be gone. But we can always wish.

It's hair (Anna or Elsa), makeup with a face gem, nails, and you can do costume or without. With costume it's 199 and without 124, if I remember right. They gave my dd an Olaf plush as well, plus the pink backpack and sash like you get at BBB. You book onboard.

I agree - we were there shortly after boarding and our first choice of times and dates. IMHO - we wouldn't do it again because the price was a lot more than we pay at DL or WDW and the hair didn't last nearly as long as it does in the parks. But, we were on a Frozen-themed cruise in Norway, so it had to be done (according to my DD). Considering she used her own money for it, how could I complain?

I asked them if they were going to make it bookable in advance when we were there and they said they were hoping to. The fairy godmothers in training were over from the Dream.

It looked pretty permanent to me - hopefully it stays. My 6 yo loved it.

I saw a ~25$ option for girls- does anyone remember the name? It involved hair glitter, not an updo. I thought this was a really classy way to involve those who did not want to drop 200$ on their 6 year old's hair.

There was also an Olaf option for boys that was 25$ roughly. Hair gel.

My sons did not do this but the info was in our stateroom when we entered the first time.

There is the "Glitter and Go" package that is available at the shops (Mickey's Mainsail) during certain days. It involved a hair twist with clip, glitter (naturally!) face jewel and light makeup. I believe it was $14.95.
