Elsa and Anna meet & greet: how long did you wait in line?

I just haven't seen anyone comment on here that they actually waited 4-5 hours.

That's because DISers know about rope drop and the Akershus advantage. It's the large portion of guests who don't have these tips who will wait for 4-5 hours. They also probably don't know that Anna and Elsa have their own section on the first float in the new MK parade.

I don't know when we will be back after this upcoming trip and my girls are bIG fans. I will wait in line, it's just one day of the trip.

Anyone who actually waited 4-5 hours themselves? I keep reading that so and so told me, by a friend, a relative or I heard.... you know how that goes people always like to embellish after the fact to make them look like they did something great. .

I have a very good friend who I know for a fact lined up, during Presidents Week, for almost 4 hours. I can assure you, they absolutely were waiting in that line, they were messaging me most of the time while they waited. ;)

Are people really running back to Norway Pavilion? Did RD at HS to get DS a place in Jedi Training Academy and cast members were telling everyone "no running!." (To the crowds rushing back toward TSM.)
Is running OK at EPCOT?

I have a friend who waited that following week-on Monday or Tuesday & they waited about 4 hours as well. We were there that week as well (my DD is too young to care about the princesses, lucky for me lol). The line looked pretty insane, winding around & taking up much of that pavilion.

Full on running - no. Walking VERY briskly -yes

In line now!!!! Anybody have a question?

Did you have a Akershus ADR? If so, what time did you get in line for Anna and Elsa? I have a Akershus ADR for 8:10 and wondered what time I should leave there to beat the rope droppers. I don't want to miss too much of the Princesses at Akershus.

Makes a breakfast ressie in Norway and then skips it and pays a cancellation fee to be first in line.

Or they don't eat, and the rest of their family does:)

My initial plan was to have DH kind of...well...stuff breakfast down quickly and go get in line in advance. There was no one in line upon our entering the restaurant at 8:10ish and we finished eating, totally having seen all the Princess's just prior to 9 (I'm thinking in the 8:50 range). Dh took the girls and got in line while I waited for the check and joined them. We were in line prior to the first switchback/turn).

We did have a ressie that we opted not to use. We had it for 8:25. We got in line at 835. Only 2 families in front of us. You can safely get in line by 8:45 and only have 5-10 families in front of you. The runners came at 8:55. They only had about 15 families in front of them. If that. Unfortunately- Anna and Elsa did not come out until 9:15. At 9:30, they were telling people the wait was 5 hours!! Glad we did what we did!

Thank you! I was thinking if I left Akershus at 8:45 & let the rest of my group finish up that I should hopefully be ok. Once the meet and greet started, how long did it take you to get through the line? Should I tell the rest of my group to make sure they are out by 9:00 I assume?

I would have them come by 9. If the sisters come out right away, and you are only a few families back, they will need to be ready

For those making ADRs but not using them...did you make an ADR for one person, or your whole group? Because I'm thinking of going the no show ADR route, but only making the ADR for one person (me) who can hold the spot in line while the others can wait at the gate and join me in line once the park opens. Since only one person has to wait in line, I don't see why this won't work and it will save $30 (for a family of 4) in no-show fees.

We're just not big breakfast eaters and we will have already seen the same princesses at CRT earlier in the trip, so I really don't want to do breakfast at Akersus at all. Plus, if we're going to be no-shows anyway, I wouldn't want to take 4 spots for people who actually might want to eat there.

This is so frustrating! We went in early December and the waits were unbelievable! My girls (2&4) are Frozen obsessed and it would be so special for them, but there is no way we can wait that long. I'll be 5 months pregnant taking the girls by myself while hubs is deployed. I did snag a 8:05 breakfast and hope by 8 :45 we can get in line for a shorter wait. I just pray we don't have any potty accidents, me or them:)
