Elsa and Anna character meet- couple questions

Hi all, we're in Orlando!! We did so well today at Magic Kingdom we're going to head to Epcot probably on Tuesday.

My girls LOVE Frozen and they are willing to trade off more rides (plus it's our 3rd day at park by then) to meet them.

We are going to do the Extra magic hours and get there at 8. Can someone explain how the 9 am time works? Should we just go stand in line at 8 am to be first for Elsa and Anna? Do they hand out a time card to come back later or do we need to wait the whole time?

They have gone back to 11:00a starts for at least this week. You're looking at likely a multi-hour wait. At least one adult needs to be in line at all times.

Yeah! You are at Disney now - that is a wonderful and yes, I wish I were there too!!

Frozen - my daughter went to stand in line as soon as the park opened at 0900. She headed to Norway right away and was about the 50th person there -the others must have run! We met up with her later so we all did not have to stand in line and then took turns holding the spot. Now I understand that some folks might think we were crazy to stand in line but her 5 year old was looking forward to this meeting more than almost anything else and my daughter did not want her little girl to not have this magical experience so stood in line for 3 hours in the rain! This was the end of January and there were not cards being passed it but folks were holding spots. Some folks were having an early breakfast at Norway so they could get in line even before the 0900 Epcot Park opening but with EMH this might not matter.

Oh no!! Then that meet will be highly unlikely. We never wait more than 20 min for characters as it just gets too crazy...

You guys are amazing! I don't think we'll do 3 hours...i had hoped 1-2 hours max if we trade off other rides but we have other friends going too.

Ok now i've done some reading and there are those that argue coming back later is helpful....any reports?
