I was in TRU today and they had a TON of them...I considered picking up a few to see if they become a hot/can't find item, but at $60 a pop, I thought again!
Yeah, I have to agree...the price is steep. I don't think Elmo will be live in our house this Christmas! DS1 turns 2 a month after Christmas, so we'll see...
My 15 month old is big into Elmo right now. I was in Target today and showed her the Elmo Live and she LOVED him. But I'm going to try my hardest not to buy it! $60 is a bit much I think! I also showed her anotehr Elmo that was smaller and talked and stuff that was $9.99 and she seemed to LOVE that one as well!
I agree it was a bit steep, but he LOVES elmo and it is his BIG present. We are doing smaller things and giving alot of his toys to his younger cousin. So I felt the cost was worth it.
I also saw tons of them on the shelves at BJs. I think for the price they will be relatively easy to find. With the economy the way it is I think many people will think twice about a $60 Elmo. If your child loves it then it may be worth it but there are many things my DS2 would prefer. In previous years I still would have gotten it but not this year.
I had one on back order through Fisher Price, but I cancelled it after going into Wal-Mart last week and buying one. It will be my stepsons (who will be 2 in Dec. ) Birthday gift. He is expensive, but really neat!
