I will be praying between now and the first for CLEAR scans! I always get a bit nervous the week before Lisa's scans, I hope you feel peaceful!

Thank you all. He will have scans Tuesday morning, but we will not get the results until his clinic appointment Wednesday afternoon. He has to be sedated for the scans and I think that's really the worst part. That and being alone while he is getting it done. Dh has to get Addison off to school and then go to work. My mom lives in FL and everyone I know has to work, plus we have to be at the hospital at 7am so I'd hate to ask someone to get up that early just to sit with me. I'll probably hang around the DIS while I am sitting in the room waiting for him to return

In other news... I've been working on a countdown calendar and I am so excited for it... I will share pictures as soon as it is done! I going to sign Addison up for swim lessons next week, and am considered Elliot too. She wants to be able to swim at GKTW without water wings Elliot's birthday is in 2 weeks and I have got to get busy planning!! I thought he was going for a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme but he has recently become obsessed with Spiderman so the theme has changed! Now I get to rethink everything

I hate sitting and waiting while you kids are under. It is so stressful.
pm me if you need someone to talk to, I will be in and out that morning.
I was thinking the same thing about swimming lessons because little miss Ella "thinks" she can swim and will kill herself one of these days, if someone isn't watching her like a hawk.

I will be praying so hard Tuesday morning for you to feel peace. Because of all of the multiple things that happen to my children, I am alone most of the time at these appointments, and I don't like being all alone when they have to be put to sleep. (It is better now that we know Lisa IS allergic to the Versed, it made waking her up a nighmare...and I was usually alone during these horrible times). Praying for peaceful times and good scans!

Talking about a countdown calendar means the time is almost here!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Thank you! I love and hate the Versed.... I've learned to not try to coax him awake until he is way ready or he turns into a screaming, fighting beast. When he starts stirring, I will talk softly and rub his hair but if he drifts back off I let him and just keep waiting.

I just finished our countdown calendar!! I cannot believe our 30 DAY countdown begins tomorrow!!!

I cut out 30 Disney characters and stuck them on this posterboard. Behind each character is a number, counting down until the day we leave, which is marked by all the things we will be enjoying while on Elliot's Wish Trip. The kids decided that they will just remove the character of the day we are on, then put it back when the next day is removed that way all the characters are still around
Here is what it looks like right now

this is what I used to stick the characters to the board

If anyone ever wants a copy of all the characters, they are all saved in jpg documents and I can email them.

Thanks so much! Wouldn't you know... I had no signal the whole time I was there? The imaging area is in the lower level of the hospital and gets no signal. I played some games on my smartphone the whole time!

We are home from scans... it was a little rough today... the Versed didn't make him happy enough to ignore the IV and it really hurt him. Then he was agitated and didn't give into sedation very well and he ended up needed more Versed. Then the nurse woke him up before he was ready and he is super crabby!! He's still dizzy, seeing double and unable to stand, but we are home, resting on the couch. Now we just have to wait for the results tomorrow afternoon! Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers!
