Remember the sitcom Ellen with Ellen Degeneres? :thumbsup2 For Christmas, I told DH that I wanted the entire DVD collection of Ellen. Well, he got it for me.:yay: :yay: As soon as we were done opening gifts on Christmas morning, I started watching them.:yay: :yay: I've thoroughly enjoyed watching these episodes again, and again, and...:woohoo: :woohoo:

Any other fans here? :yay:

Is that the second show she did? She did do two different sitcoms right? I might be thinking of someone else....

I have never actually seen the sitcom, but I am an Ellen fan in general.

There was a standup special that she did on Comedy Central the other night, and I laughed so hard that I cried the entire time it was on. There were times when I couldn't get my breath!

She proves that you don't need to be dirty or cruel to be funny!

So true.

I remember the first time I saw her, she was in a show called Open House. She had a small part but I thought she was hilarious.

One station recently showed the old Ellen show & I enjoyed them all over again.

Do you remember the one where she was wearing a wire or something, trying to record what someone was saying? It started slipping down her back and she had to stick her butt in the guy's face to ensure she could get what he was saying, all while acting like everything was normal. I loved that episode.

To this day, I paraphrase the line (when talking about myself) she had about instead of having buns of steel she had buns of cinnamon! :lmao:

Yes, there were two. I'm talking about the one on ABC which ran for 5 seasons.

Alliecats~ :lmao: :lmao: Paige doesn't know that Ellen is wired and she tells Ellen that she wants the cop real bad and he hears it.:lmao::lmao:

What about Paige's wedding day? Hilarious! :lmao: :lmao: Ellen steps on Paige's train to keep her from going forth with the wedding. Paige walks down the aisle while dragging Ellen standing on her train. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That was a great show. Wasn't Jeremy Piven on that?

I loved her little obnoxious friend, what was her name? Oh, she cracked me up. She was like a Karen-type character from Will & Grace.

the first season (or was it first two) were the best when they had the first roomate on...why did they get rid of him?? i had forgotten how funny that show was the first few years...then like the bill cosby show it got too "preachy" and became less funny

It was Audrey. :lmao: :lmao: Jeremy Piven was great, he added a lot to the show.:thumbsup2

Goofy~ You're talking about Adam, right? I liked Jeremy better than Adam.
