Ellen Pompeo from Grey's getting Punk'd

I can not believe that people think that is entertainment. :confused3 I am a fan of Grey's and Ellen is okay. I thought she was nice about being tricked, I would not have spoken to my DH for a week if he did that to me.

I have never watched Punked, just don't like that kind of thing.

Wow--it's funny how we can all watch the same thing and get such different opinions! That's what makes the world go 'round I guess.

I thought she appeared rude and arrogant. When I first saw the clip (awhile ago) it really turned me off to her and I actually found myself disliking her character on Grey's after that, too.

Same for me and I like her a lot on Greys.

Actually that Punk ep is really old, and while i do like Ellen i think she went a little over the top, but her boy friend has always been kind of creepy to me ….so I would have let the waitress have him…

So you don't like her because her dress was pulled up? :confused3

I think she acted how most of us would act if we didn't know the camera was on us. She had on a big floppy dress, she probably was just comfortable in it and thus the reason it was hiked up a little. I certainly don't think its something to dislike someone over.

No, I think the part where she said she would stab the waitress in the face and watch the blood trickle down her face may have turned me off a bit.

They didn't show the whole vidoe on punk'd. That waitress was really going far with the flirting. Rubbing his shoulders, bending over in front of him, sitting on his lap!!:rotfl:

..and, in all fairness, the "stabbing, etc, etc" was what would have normally been a private conversation between two people - where she is definitely getting goofy, nervous, and sending the boyfriend a message...not gonna judge her on that -

but again, on more "publicly" handling the waitress, I think she showed a great deal of restraint and handled it well...in the end she was mostly worried about the $200 and mainly from the standpoint of it being a mistake....

Uhh, yeah, but she laughed after she said it, so did her boyfriend. I think it was tongue and cheek, I don't think she actually considered stabbing the waitress and watching blood trickle down her face, do you? :confused3

damn I hope no one ever records my conversations when I'm in a private conversation :rotfl: they'd have me for all kinds of things: homicide, corruption, tyranny...you name it!! :lmao:

She reacted way better than I would have, that's for sure :lmao: Honestly, the first time I watched her when it originally aired on MTV, I thought to myself that she seemed really rude. Then as I thought about it more...I realized that I am the EXACT same way and I would have totally been making snotty, tongue in cheek comments just like she was :rolleyes1 I think it really was that she thought it was real and it was a natural reaction to get defensive. I don't blame her for that, I would have done the same.

I'm pretty sure she mentioned wanting to maul those parts too! And, dont forget at the end where she was gonna put fork tines in her clavicle. :lmao:

She was nothing but pleasant to the waitress. She got a little miffed about the tip, but I think anyone would. The things she said that were bad were supposedly said in private. I think we all say things in private that we wouldn't want aired on national tv. Also, I really wonder if this was scripted. I mean who says things like that during lunch? :confused3

I just watched the video for the first time. I liked Ellen, but I thought her boyfriend was a total jerk. And he knew he was being taped! I'd dump him real fast!

I saw a slew of them running last night but assumed they were 3-4 years old. LOL I didn't even check.

Instead she's engaged to him. I don't like him either.

I must be the only person who really likes her character as well as the actress herself. I think her character is hilarious....I loved when she was looped on the painkillers on that one episode. :lmao: I love that Meredith is wishy washy and not really sure of herself....seems more true to life than most characters on TV who are so perfect but so unrealistic.

Nope, we're all Pompeo fans in this house. I love her character, Meredith. She's a riot!

I think her "attitude" and "so full of herself" image on the punk clip was simply in response to the waitress "hitting" on her man. I know I would have serious attitude if some waitress was hitting on my man.

Okay, since this thread is still around....

No, the reason I do not like her is NOT just because she happened to show a little leg. I just knew that somebody would try to use the whole 'sexual morality' thing to try to judge my comments.

I just personally do not like her. The purposefully hiking her long skirt up to mid-thigh the way she did was just the icing on the cake. Now, if she had just happened to be wearing a nice outfit with a short skirt, and the 'hiking' was not a purposeful maneuver, then that would not have bothered me at all.

I am sorry, but no, I do not go around flipping my hair. hiking up my skirt, and laughing while talking about someones bloody face smeared onto the cement. :sad2:

IMHO, she is like a 40 year old woman acting like some brainless 14-15 year old jealous teenager. She did everything but sit there and smack gum.

Believe me, from my post here on the DIS, some of you may know that I can be a pretty expressive person. I have no problem with that... Like another poster said, some of what I might say would not have been DIS appropriate.

But her complete immaturity and lack of class just does not appeal to me at all.

Add that to the fact that I do not think she is physically attractive at all... (can we say huge cheeks, squinty little eyes, and buck teeth...) She is NO Angelina Jolie, or Eva Longoria etc... But she tries to come off as this beautiful leading-lady. That just has never sat well with me at all either.

I have never understood why McDreamy would leave his beautiful, mature, successful wife for her. :confused3

Let me just reply by starting with this.... Since I do not know her personally, than I cannot say I like or dislike her personally. I can say, I love her character on the TV show, since I "know" her character as best as anyone else.
Regarding your comments:
"Hiking her skirt up" - Hey, it's LA, it could be super hot and she needed to cool off. She didn't pull a Britney, so what's the big deal?
"Flipping her hair" - Ok, she was not flipping her hair, she was twisting or twirling it around her fingers. Some people do that when they are nervous or uncomfortable.
Now her comments on bloody face, etc. I don't think she was serious... I do in all honesty she was joking.
Oh, and BTW, I happen to love big cheeks and squinty eyes... see my DD in my siggie?
Now, talk about buck teeth... that Eva Longoria, beautiful, yes, buck teeth, yes. I still love her.
Angelina, yes she is beautful... but she's a strange one. Didn't you see the Golden Globes? Talk about the cat who swallowed the canary.
Finally, Mc. Dreamy left his wife because she was a cheating *&%$&.
JMHO!
Boy, that was fun! :rotfl:
