So sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I had a lot going on these past few weeks.

I had a job interview this past week and another one next week.
We had yard clean-up.
My photopass will not read in my computer and my scanner broke.

But on a positive note I went to the fabulous food show in Cleveland today and got to meet Tyler Florence. He is my absolute favorite foodnetwork chef (and sooo cute). I got his autograph in his cookbook and got my pic with him.

He was a total sweetie and talked with me for a few minutes. I did not feel rushed by anyone and got to alk about my love of cooking with him.

I am in 7th heaven.

I too think it's funny that we live so close and were at disney at the same time. We were going to do MNSSHP on that Friday but it was the only time we could get an ADR for Kona which my Mom really wanted to try.

I am glad you are enjoying the updates and pics.

It is so funny how Disney bonds people. I think at Disney people are more relaxed and willing to chat whereas at Giant Eagle people are always in a hurry.

The food show was a blast and all those samples I was not even hungry for dinner that night .

Finally was able to upload my photopass pics after my laptop visted the Geek Squad and was fixed up. So here they are.

I love this pic and everyone in the family has asked for copies since they know my love of Eeyore.

So I ended the last update with us waiting in line to meet the Fab Five and now the moment had come.

First up Mickey Mouse

He was so sweet and I got his autograph (BTW I did not get many signatures just a select few to use in our scrapbook)

Next up was Pluto

I love Pluto, in fact that was our old cat Muffy's nickname since she always seemed to be out in space

Then we met Minnie Mouse and for some reason those pics did not register on out photopass account. At least I have the one from the party. She was cute and was flattered when my my Mom told her we had seen her dressed as a witch the night before and that she was adorable.

Next up was my main Duck, Donald Duck

This was the second interaction we had with Donald and the best out of the two. he hugged me as soon as I saw him and signed my autograph book. He had signed it "Donald Duck #1" and proceeded to show it to his handler. Well after she read it, she asked him how that could be since Mickey Mouse is #1. Well that got him all upset and sad until I told him that he was my #1. He started bouncing up and down and hugging me and giving kisses. He then signed to me that I was #1 in his heart as well.

Then Goofy

Goofy was ever the gentlman and kissed my Mom's hand and mine. And flirted with both of us.

Satisfied with our fab five interaction we headed to The Land

We checdked out wait times for Soarin and since it was 50mins we grabbed fastpasses for between 1:09 and 2:09 pm and decided to grab lunch and relax until our time came up.

We ate at Sunshine Seasons. Mom was not all that hungry so all she had was a bowl of Corn Chowder and a corn muffin which she paid OOP for. It was only $5.31

She said it was one of the best corn chowders she has ever had.

I used one of our counter service credits and got the Ginger Beef stir fry with rice and broccoli and strawberry shortcake as my dessert. I also got a coke which I split with my Mom. It would have been $17.44 OOP

After a nice leisurely lunch our fastpasses became available and ten minutes later we were Soarin over California. I loved the ride and will ride again. My Mom was so-so on it. She does not like heights and not feeling anything under her feet, but she said she was glad she rode it at least once.

After Soarin in the skies we decided to dive under the sea and search for that infamous Nemo.

Now it was not until I got back to the hotel and uploaded my pics to my computer when I noticed that Dory looks like she is trying to eat me .
My friend Lindsey finds this hilarious and keeps telling everyone that I was almost eaten by Dory at Epcot.

After a few more pics we went inside to Find Nemo

The ride was cute even though I did get a little dizzy when you go through the tunnel that represents the "highway" in the film. I quickly adjusted and soon we were off to explore the aquarium.

We first went to find the Manatees as they are one of my favorites. They were beautiful and it is so sad to think that if boaters just followed the directions on the warning signs they would be in better shape.

Unfortunately none of my pics came out to well.

We then saw that they were letting people into Turtle Talk with Crush and hurried over to get a seat. I did snap a quick ray pic

OMG!!! I loved TT . It is a such a cute concept and we had some really great kids ask some good questions.

After TT we left the seas and headed to club cool. I was on a mission to get my mom to try Beverly (thanks disers). I did not have my camera out because she would have known something was up. Her face was priceless. I do not think she will trust me next time I hand her a cup.

After club cool we checked out Mousegears and I can't believe that I did not buy anything in there as they had so many wonderful items.

We then decided it was time to head out to make our reservations at 1900 Park Fare for dinner. We were coming back the following saturday for dinner in France so we would explore the world showcase then.

We stopped at the gift shop near the exit so I could get some postcards to send home to family and made our way to the monorail.

I can't sleep so I decided to finish out day 4. I hope people are reading this and enjoying it. I feel bad about not updating more often but life keeps getting in the way. Doesn't life know updating my TR is more important

Day 4 cont....

We left off with us hopping on the monorail to the TTC. When we got to the TTC we realized we had an hour and half to get to the Grand Floridian so we hopped on the ferry over to the MK. Took this pic on the way

Once we got to the Magic Kingdom we hopped on the boat over to the Grand Floridian.

I was excited to see the dock where Aunt Becky waited with a picnic lunch for Uncle Jesse on full house (I am a huge dork I know) I wish I had gotten pictures but my batteries had died and my mom wanted to wait until we got inside to look for them in her bag.

We walked over to the Main GF building and let me say this resort is beautiful. I would really like to stay there one day. We got to 1900 Park Fare at 4:30 (4:55 ADR) they checked us in and we got our pic taken. Let me just say it was horrible. The lighting made us look so bad.

We were taken to our table afterward and our waitress, Pattie came and got our drink orders. I had a rootbeer and mom had ice tea. She told us we could go up to the buffet at anytime and explained how the characters would come around. I sent mom up first and boy was I glad I did as I got some good pics.

First they announced Prince Charming and he came out and started talking to tables. hen Cinderella came out and they took a quick spin on the dance floor.

I went up and got my food. This buffet was okay nothing spectacular except the strawberry soup. I could have eaten just that and been completely happy.

Then they announced Lady Tremaine. Followed by Anastasia and Drizella.

Let me tell you those three are hilarious and almost worth the price of the meal alone.

They have Cinderella and Prince Charming do a dance in the center of the restaurant.

I was surprised at how small the restaurant was (a theme for the week) and where we were seated we were behind a short wall that I could look around but my mom could not see anything.

Halfway through our plates Cinderella stopped by

She was very sweet and spent quite a bit of time talking with us before moving on.

Next up was Prince Charming and he was at the table next to us which turned out to be a family that took up all the tables on the wall and they insisted he stay with them so all of the sisters in the family could get a pic with them. Well half of them were up at the buffet and shouting at each other. Finally ten minutes later we got to meet him.

he asked us what kingdom we hailed from and whether we arrived by carriage or magic carpet. He asked me what was my favorite thing so far and I told im riding POTC and he said that all pretty girls loved the bad guys

We had time to then quickly grab desserts before Lady Tremine arrived.

She was wonderful and in perfect character. She asked my mother if we had met Cinderella and made sure she used her manners with us. We assured her she did. She also asked if I had a male suitor yet and I said not at the moment and she told me to always remember that while diamonds are nice if a guy gives me rubies and emeralds to snatch him up as well

Next was Anastasia

She and I had a long conversation on how we were always stuck taking our mothers everywhere we went.

Finally we met Drizella.

She had the highest pitched voice ever and was perfectly in character. My mom snapped our pic and told her that it looked perfect. She responed with "of course"

After Drizella we paid the bill using our table credits and put the tip on our room charge.

Would have been 68.14 if we had paid OOP.

Now the food was okay and the character interaction was great but I do not
think I would go back unless I was on the dining plan. Also discovered that character meals are great but really not for us. It was slow paced.

We left 1900 and explored some of the gift shops at the GF before taking the monorail back to the Magic kingdom and catching a bus back to the CBR.

According to my notes I ran to Old Port Royale and filled our mugs and also purchased a quart of milk for the room.

We were back at our room by 7:30 and after a quick rest venture off property to one of the outlets to get gas.

The outlet was not great but did have an Old Navy where we scored some great stuff for super cheap.

Once we got back to the hotel we watched Glee, set the wake up call for 8am and were off in dream land by midnight.

It is something to see. They both even grab little kids to dance with as well. I would reccomend it if character meals are your thing.

September 17, 2009 -Day 5

A Magical morning


Mom and I were awoken by Mickey and Stitch at 7:35 am and our plans were to get to MK by rope drop but mom said she needed to rest a bit more and take some sudafed for her nasal drip. So we both got some breakfast and watched a little tv. We got ready and were at the bus stop by 9:45 am and were on Mainstreet by 10:30.

We saw that Mary Poppins was out but they had just cut off her line, bummer.

So we hit up the Emporium for a few gifts. I had seen a plush Dumbo I wanted for my Newest cousin, Vince who was born just 2 months earlier. Also got a mug for a neighbor, Jerry who was going to keep an eye on things. I got a pressed penny book and we had it sent back to the resort.

Just as we were exiting the emporium we ran into the Move It, Shake It Celebration Parade.

Once the first part of the parade had passed, Mom went to hit the restroom while I wandered toward the castle.

My rejoined me and the parade came back around with some new guests on the floats.

Once the parade was over it was time to make a descision on how we wanted to tackle the park. We had a 3:00 ADR at the Plaza.

So what would we do? Who would we see?

Day 5 Continued....

So we left off with us trying to make a decision on what we wanted to do next. We checked out the times guide and saw a "Dream Along with Mickey" was starting at the castle in 10 minutes so we went and found a place to sit. I took a few pics while we were waiting

Just as the show started someone got in our way

So we moved over a little and had a nice view. My mom took these as I had decided to put my camera away and just watch the show.

I have to admit that I was tearing up during the show especially when the princess and were dancing with their princes.

We both loved the show and once it ended we decided to head over to Tomorrowland since we did not do much of anything there at the MNSSHP. On the way I stopped to get a water and asked my mom if she wanted and she declined (remember that)

I will now say that at this point there are not a ton of pics. I decided that I just wanted to enjoy and not worry about taking too many pics while in Tomorrowland.

Our first ride over there was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I was so excited and it was only a 10 minute wait. As we waited we befriended the young boy behind us in line and he gave us some tips and pointers. Finally we boarded our vehicle and were given our mission.

I have to say that I loved this ride. Even though my mom beat me (I think my gun was devective) I got her back by spinning the vehicle any chance I got and making her dizzy. I am the sweetest daughter ever

So from Buzz we went to Monster Inc Laugh Floor and the next show was about 10 minutes away. The CM at the entrance noticed my mom's cane and let us use the handicapped entrance so she wouldn't get knocked around in line. So we were let in the holding area and then seated. This show is adorable . I love all the audience parcipitation and whenever Roz popoed up I laughed so hard because she reminds me of one of my mom's cousins ( Iget the same reaction when I see Ursula as well)

Anywho next up was TTA. I was happy that it was open while we were there. My mom kept asking why we were skipping Stitches ride since I love him and when I told her what I had read here on the dis we both agreed it was good we skipped it. So up the ramp to the TTA we went. I enjoyed this ride. it was a nice relaxing ride and I loved the "Paging Mr. Morrow. Mr Tom Morrow." (I heard that they have changed it since then and am sad

So after we exited the ride I saw my love Stitch was out at the the Entrance to the CP and ran over to get in line. Luckily we were in line in time and they closed it after us since Stitch and go run and make a call to Lilo.

My Mom was not sure she wanted to get her pic with him but as you can see she changed her mind.

Stitch was . I love him. He is just so misunderstood. He gave me a huge hug and told me he loved me. I melted into a puddle of goo. My Mom also got a hug from him but he did not say i love you to her so I teased her about that.

It was about 1pm at this point and we had sometime to kill before our ADR so we headed on the path toward Toon Town.

So we headed towards Toon Town on the path and I was happy to be able to get some pics of it during the day since they had it all decorated for the Mad Hatter's Treat Party.

So once we landed in Toontown I got a pic of Donald's boat

The plan was to explore Mickey's house since we did not during the party

Once we exited my Mom wanted to hit the big gift shop to find something Minnie Mouse for her hairdresser for her graduation from beauty school (She ended up getting her a cute keychain) and a backpack for herself to carry in the parks. Now mind you she brought 2 different ones with her and liked neither of them so she had to buy a new one and thankfully it worked for the rest of the trip.

While she was checking out I ran across the way and got a frozen lemonade since I was o hot and had finished my water, well thankfully I did since when my mom came to meet me at the bench she complained that she was feeling dizzy because she was sooo thirsty. So we sat for 10 minutes and then made our way to take the train back to main street.
