Elisabeth Hasselbeck

I used to love EH on survivor. She was good on the view till IMO she stopped listening and started trying to cut off others and talk over them when she didn't agree without listening to what they were saying. I am talking about on all subjects and not just politics even though she put more emotion into her political beliefs than anything else. I feel everyone has a right to their opinion but that they owe it to the ones they are talking to to listen to what they have to say too and try to understand what and why they are saying what they say. I'm watching the show and want to hear what everyone has to say without being cut off mid sentence. I agree that others have done it to EH as well but I feel EH does it a lot more often. I also think she is very nieve in her views at times and needs to respect others so she gets the same respect in return.

I think Joy is the one who acts like a bully. But I agree Elisabeth's voice is sometimes annoyingly shrill. And sometimes Barbara gets on my nerves. I don't watch it as much as I used to, since the campaign is over. I have to admit that I watched it every day (well, evening, after recording it) during the campaing just because you never knew what sparks were going to fly each day. I knew there would be sparks, just didn't know in which direction they would fly

I agree with the bolded part. I don't watch this crappy hen fest anymore ever. It has really plunged since Meredith left.

Rosie insinuated this in her book. Except she was getting the info from the Executive Producer - Bill Geddie.

She does often quote Sean Hannity.
True, she does quote him.

I'm sure Elisabeth means well, I just hope she doesn't have too many adversities in her life, not too sure she could handle that.

She handled Survivor - I couldn't do that even with my life long adversity training. I did gain respect for EH when she manhandled Rosie. Forget the politics, Rosie was just an out of control ego who surprisingly got what was coming to her.

It's pretty hard for me to respect someone who get frustrated and turns on the waterworks because she is too inarticulate and uneducated to win a debate. And the people she's debating aren't much of a challenge! She should stick to reality TV.

Uneducated? She graduated from Boston College? I always though it was a top-notch college. She cried once after one of the programs? I don't see that as a big deal. You've never cried?

It would be hard to stay composed with three old harpies yelling in your face and talking over you and not letting you defend you positions without raising your voice and resorting to screetching, too.

I'm not sure I'd compare handling Survivor or Rosie to handling real adversities of Life. I guess I should say handle adversity in a constructive manner since Rosie has handled quite a few in her life, some not in a constructive manner. Both Elisabeth and Rosie are strong women and I find that lots of people believe women should just flat out shut up rather than be heard. :lmao:

Well, no chance of that happening with Rosie or Elisabeth, I don't think.:rotfl2:

I used to like her a lot when she was on Survivor, now, not so much.

I can't stand her. Her voice is shrill. And she acts like a bully when trying to get her point across. Maybe she had to do that when Rosie was there (especially toward the end) - but she shouldn't need to that now.

I've been trying to quit that show, not just because of Elizabeth - but Barbara is on my last nerve. Her questions are horrible and embarrassing, and she tries to be hip and funny - it just ain't happening.

....... but this week they are in Disneyland (so I've been watching....)

Just like Joy!!! :rotfl2:

I met Elisabeth at my cousin's wedding in November- they were college roommates. I do not agree with her political views, but she was very nice and looked like she was having lots of fun dancing! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Her political knowledge is what I'm speaking of. When you are going to debate it, you need to have more than borrowed sound bites and a raised shrill voice, and no I've never cried when debating someone or when I find myself losing the battle. I grew out of that type of behavior sometime in my teens.
